(Photo : Facebook) Ansel Elgort talks Caleb's character change in upcoming sequels |
"Divergent" actor Ansel Elgort has revealed that Caleb fans may be in for a rude awakening.
According to Bop and Tiger Beat, the 20-year-old actor inferred that although fans may have taken a liking to his character in "Divergent," they might feel different about him towards the end of the series.
"I like the fact that he's not a leading man, and that he's kind of an antagonist," Elgort said. "He's not the guy the audience will love the whole time. You might even hate him as the second and third movies-if we get to make them-come out, because Caleb has a real arc."
As previously reported, Theo James, Miles Teller and Elgort sat down with Seventeen magazine for their April issue to discuss falling in love, finding true happiness, and of course, their new action flick!
The guys, who seemed quite candid with their responses, gave a true taste of their personalities with these simple question and answers listed below:
Theo James:
Would you say that you're a lot like Four [his character in Divergent]?
Answer: "Definitely. He likes to play outside the rules and is someone who sees through the BS. He has a strong sense of who he is. I like to think I have that in me too."
Miles Teller:
How would your friends describe you?
Answer: "My best friends would say that I'm not a good dancer and get their sloppy seconds. None of that is true. I've always been the best dancer and I get the girls first."
Ansel Elgort:
Caleb [his character in Divergent] tells Tris [the lead female character] to think about what she wants before they choose a faction. What do you think of that message?
Answer: "That's an important quote. Some parents want their kids to become doctors or lawyers, but some kids want to be actors or dancers. You have to think of yourself because otherwise, you may have made them happy but you're unhappy."
