Welcome to Terminus

Welcome back Rick! Didn't see it coming, Rick taking a nice chunk of Joe's neck off.  With that said, last night's season finale was INSANE! The days of working in the garden at the ol' prison are over. The opening scene with Rick covered in blood, just confirmed the fact that we were going to be in for a wild ride. It seems like the walkers are the last of the groups problems. The end of season 4 left us wondering how the group is going to handle a new enemy...the humans. But as Rick said, "They're going to feel pretty stupid when they find out, they're screwing with the wrong people."
I hate Terminus...It just sounds like no good can come from it. First the creepy lady serving slabs of meat (no idea what body parts it came from), the weird room with all the candles lit, and the pile of remains. I believe there was a ribcage or two or three in there. One of the biggest question marks that I thought we might see in the finale is simply, where is Beth? Do the cannibals have her, is she in one of the other containers? Too many questions, and its a long wait until October. What were your thought's on the season finale last night?

Music Monday – 80's Big Hair Bands‏

As a rule, I am not a fan of men with long hair or make-up that looks better then mines, but I can't help but love 80's Big Hair Bands.
Blow the dust off your air guitars and get ready to rock out...

Guns N' Roses  “Paradise City”

Def Leppard  “Love Bites”

 Mr. Big  “To Be with You"

Extreme  “More Than Words”

Warrant  “Cherry Pie”

Poison  “Nothin' but a Good Time”

Great White  “Once Bitten, Twice Shy”

Skid Row  “I Remember You”

Bon Jovi  “Wanted Dead or Alive”

KISS  “Rock and Roll All Nite”

Van Halen  “Jump”

ZZ Top  “Legs”

Whitesnake  “Here I Go Again”

Quiet Riot  “Cum on Feel the Noize”

Bad English  “When I See You Smile”

Scorpions  “Rock You Like a Hurricane”

AC/DC  “You Shook Me All Night Long”

This last band was one of my favorites back in the 80's because when I was going through my "rock phase", it was awesome to see a hard rock band that added COLOR to the sea of white. Lol

Living Colour  “Cult of Personality”

So did I forget anyone??? 'Cause I wanted to add Metallica, but most of their songs that I knew were from the 90's...
Let me know what you think.

Theo James - Theo James pretends to be American in bars

British-born actor Theo James puts on an American accent in bars because he says it helps him get served.

The 'Divergent' star doesn't use his British ways to charm people when he's in the US, and sometimes even ends up mimicking an American accent to get a drink.

Ansel Elgort Talks 'Insurgent' and 'Allegiant' SPOILERS After 'Divergent' Movie 2014, Will Caleb Turn Evil?

(Photo : Facebook) Ansel Elgort talks Caleb's character change in upcoming sequels

"Divergent" actor Ansel Elgort has revealed that Caleb fans may be in for a rude awakening.

According to Bop and Tiger Beat, the 20-year-old actor inferred that although fans may have taken a liking to his character in "Divergent," they might feel different about him towards the end of the series.

"I like the fact that he's not a leading man, and that he's kind of an antagonist," Elgort said. "He's not the guy the audience will love the whole time. You might even hate him as the second and third movies-if we get to make them-come out, because Caleb has a real arc."

Hottie of the Week!

This weeks Hottie is brought to you by the letter S.  No, his name doesn’t start with an S either, but he is known as The Man of Steel.  Introducing, another British Hottie (I have a thing for accents), Mr. Henry Cavill.

Henry has an extensive background, not only in modeling, but in acting as well.  Since 2001, he has graced us with his presence on both the big screen and television.  Since I don’t watch a ton of TV, I was never introduced to him in his role on The Tudors, which I heard could get pretty hot and heavy. (Who can resist a gorgeous man getting hot and heavy and sweaty and… Oh yeah, writing here.)

Since Henry was a special request Hottie by a few fabulous friends, I am going to stop here and let his pictures speak for themselves as to why he can qualify as the Hottie of the Week.  So, I will bid you farewell until next time and let you drool through the rest of the pics :)

"The Greater Good" 06.19 Castle

Sorry for the late posting! I think I am in hiatus denial!

Well we are on a downhill roll to the end of season six. With only four episodes left to to go, "The Greater Good" came out to me as a more character centric rather than case centric episode. I loved getting to see and find out more of Gates' backstory. It really drove home why her character is as by the book as she has been since her introduction. It was also nice getting to see her interact with her sister on a personal level. But my favorite Gates moment of the night came when Kate gave her all the props for being a fantastic Captain. It felt like her initiation into "this immediate family".

Photo Credit: ABC Studios via @Castle_ABC
As we are introduced to our case, we find ourselves in a disheveled apartment, that has been worked over pretty well. Our first glimpses of our vic are sidelined by the mysterious photographer in black, leaving us, as always with more questions than answers.

And on to Caskett and their blissful domesticity!! The wedding planning continues with talks of needing a new venue. Castle's suggestion about Coney Island, harkens a conversation with Beckett about the day that she and her dad went there after her mom's funeral. It is really amazing the depth of continuity that the writers go to. It was in that conversation that we got the quote, "...Even on the worst days, there's a possibility for joy." But the suggestion is swiftly shot down by Ms. Beckett due to lack of seating. Which brings them to face their next problem, the guest list. Both of them have declared that they want the ceremony to be small and intimate, to really focus on the coming together of two people that are dedicated and in love. But with a projected guest list of 500+, that might not be in the cards for our love birds!

Sadly, the insider trading and government espionage side of the case melted into the background for me. Instead, the interaction between Gates and her sister, bore the brunt of my attention. Gates' sister is involved because the U.S. Attorneys' office has been using our victim to find out information. The episode title is used a little to liberally from all the wrong people, and while everything that is done for "The Greater Good" its best to remember that the wrong thing for the right reasons, is still the wrong thing. (Dropping some knowledge on y'all) Gates has to weigh destroying her sister's rapidly crumbling case with finding out why Canderro was killed. Which in the end, garners her the respect and admiration from her sister that would have been there all along, if she wasn't holding such a grudge. To see both of them let down their walls, that they have been building and reinforcing since 1998 was refreshing!

Who do we need at the wedding to be happy?
This episode was so delightfully personal. We had all the key players, minus Alexis, present and accounted for, which is always a high point for me! And the final scene of planning banter, was in a word adorable! But now we play the long game of waiting. Welcome to Castle hiatus number 2 of season 6, new episodes will not air again until April 21st.  All I can say is scroll tumblr, read fanfic, and talk with us on Twitter, because those will be my coping mechanisms for this and the summer hiatus! With a Bowman and Winter ep followed by the MilMar finale, I think that the fandom should get prepared for a wild ride!

The bright side of posting today, (a little happy accident) is that I can officially say, Happy Birthday to our 'Rick Castle' Nathan Fillion!

If you haven't checked out Nathan's birthday project with Charity Water, I highly encourage you to. To this point we have surpassed his original goal of $15,000 and have donated $20,000+ to fund clean water projects across the globe.

Theo Thursday

When the number one movie; Divergent has one of if not the hottest man on the planet right now in it, it only makes sense to have  Theo Thursday starting today.

I’ve been tossing the idea around to make him a staple of FANdemonium, and now it just seems like the best time.
If you are a fan of Downton Abbey you got your first glimpse of Theo when he played Kemal Pamuk in season one. He was dashing, charming and delightfully wicked. Destined to be a star in leaving us wanting more.

He romped around in other projects including Bedlam, The Inbetweeners before he helped lead Underworld: Awakening in 2012 along with Kate Beckinsale. Americans truly got to swooning when the very ‘New York’ sounding Theo graced the small screen weekly in the short lived tv drama Golden Boy. I never looked more forward to Friday nights and staying home and seeing our golden boy.

Now the world has taken notice of this amazing rising star, and I am sure we will see him in so much more in the years to come besides the amazing Divergent series as he brings Four to life.

Blood, Swords, Fighting...and a HOT Viking

Ah yes the days of the Vikings were so barbaric, but Travis Fimmel makes it look so easy (and hot). Those piercing blue eyes, tough demeanor and his muscular stature... need I say more. I actually had the pleasure of meeting him in a bar last year at Comic Con. While I was trying not to drool on myself, and not sound like a complete dimwit, he was super friendly, charming, and soooo easy on the eyes. And the Australian accent was the icing on the cake.

After seeing him in Baytown Outlaws, I became a fan. He's an incredible actor, and Vikings is an awesome show. Its more than just barbarians and bloodshed...Its about family and loyalty, and the search for something greater.  If you haven't watched it, I highly recommend you do. While in the midst of their second season,they just announced they will be coming back for a third. Congrats to the cast!!!

I hope I get to see them again this year at Comic Con.They had an amazing presence last year, and I expect the same if not more this year.  If you haven't already, its definitely a show to watch.

Will They Find Each Other

This Sunday is the last episode of the season for Walking Dead, I say that with a sigh...I've had mixed feelings about this season. After their mid-season hiatus, I felt it was a bit lack luster (minus the Governor FINALLY getting killed, happy dance). But as a true fan I was excited to see what was next for my favorite survivors. The second half of the season has had some of the BEST episodes in the series. After watching season after season, we get hooked on these characters, we embrace them, fear for their survival...without knowing much of their back story.

Michonne opens up to Carl and shares her past, and we get to see a softer side of this fearless warrior. We know she is badass with a sword. However, seeing Michonne and Carl joking and laughing relates to their human side. I think that gets forgotten when fighting to live everyday. Carl and Beth are proving they can handle themselves and this new world. Its refreshing to see them both take an adult stand and I can't wait to see whats in store for these characters.

No shock that I'm a huge Daryl fan. One of the best episodes was seeing him break down those walls - hear his story. To see him break down...well damn!!! Beth was pretty badass to get him to break. One of the the best scenes was of them in the house, and in his "Daryl" way letting Beth know maybe there might be some good people left after all. And it was because of her (awe moment)...then the zombies have to come and ruin everything, and she gets kidnapped. So the big question....WHERE IS BETH???!!!

Probably the most shocking, the little girl goes cray cray and kills her sister so she can have a zombie friend...Not gonna lie, I'm still a little disturbed by that. On a serious note though, it shows the impact and psychology of a post apocalyptic life.

I hope the finale brings the gang together. Maggie and Glens reunited moment was so touching last week, and I'd love to see more of it. Most of all I hope Rick is able to hold his daughter Judith again. And hooray again, the piece of shit Governor is DEAD!!!!

But the question is, what lies ahead in Terminus???

Fanfic Rec Wednesday - Love in My Box

I feel very blessed that I have friends willing to help me out with everything I do!

Today’s rec comes to you via Kristin (@Kdub_s):

Title: Love in My Box

Why is it good?: I like the idea of falling in love through emails. And I love their Edward. He is a clueless Geekward. His misunderstandings of social situations is hilarious. It’s written very well. Cosmo and Marvar are a perfect team.

~~~~~
I haven’t read this one yet. A lot of people have told me to read it – that it’s really funny and sweet. At 27 chapters and just under 150,000 words, I think I’m going to start this next. Thanks KDubs!
Video: Jai Courtney of Divergent
If you saw Divergent, then you saw Jai who plays Eric in the series, but who knew how hot the Australian actor was? Well we did, if you saw him in the action packed, 'A good Day to Die Hard' with Bruce Willis or even the hit tv series Spartacus.
Jai stopped by Jimmy Kimmel last week to of course talk about Divergent. Make sure you check out the two clips below. Pay close attention to part two close to the 3:25 mark to hear Jai's take on his fans and being legal {winks}
OUAT - The Tower
It took me a day and a half to think about this episode and it wasn’t because I didn’t like it. There were just so many aspects of Sunday’s Once Upon A Time episode that I needed to just digest it a bit and formulate a few ideas where the writers are taking us for the rest of the season.
I will be up front here and state I didn’t like the business with Charming and Emma in the opening. I really think they should’ve used a little girl to play Emma because the dance sequence was a bit disturbing with adult Emma.
I loved the Rapunzel thing and hope she will make an appearance in Storybrooke but alas, there are dozens of characters already in line to do their time in our favorite Maine hideaway.
One of things I absolutely loved occurred on Twitter Sunday night with William Shatner. No one has really brought up yet was the whole Henry in limbo thing and the poor kid is just wandering around.  Mr. Shatner suggested handing Henry his book which has been the catalyst for the entire show on more than one occasion and I have to agree. C’mon Snow, give the boy his make believe back!
Speaking of Snow, her common sense seems to have flown out the window in “The Tower.” Seriously, if your new midwife seems too good to be true, then she is green and you need to run!
Regina is still being underutilized but I have a feeling that as soon as we all catch up with Rumple that will change. Belle has got to get the vibe that her man is running around soon as well so hopefully, next week the good guys will give Rumple his knife back and crazy will go away.
‘Divergent’ sequels ‘Insurgent’ & ‘Allegiant’ will be filmed in Atlanta; Shooting begins in May
With the release of Divergent this weekend, its sequel, Insurgent, has been greenlit (officially).
“We’re confident that ‘Divergent’ is on its way to becoming another important franchise for us, and we have just greenlit the second film, ‘Insurgent,’” said Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer.
The films are based on the books in Veronica Roth’s best selling trilogy about Tris, a 16-year-old living in a dystopia who does not fit into any one of the society’s five factions.
Though Divergent was filmed in Chicago, where the stories are set, Insurgent and Allegiant will be primarily shot in Atlanta beginning in May.
Insurgent will hit theaters on March 20, 2015. The release date for Allegiant is March 18, 2016.
James Rebhorn, Homeland Actor, Wrote His Own Obituary Before Death
Credit: Robin Marchant/Getty Images
James Rebhorn, in his own words. As previously reported, the respected actor of TV and screen -- with nearly four decades of screen credits to his name, including a recent role as Carrie Mathison's father on Homeland -- lost a long battle with melanoma this past weekend. Sixty-five years old at the time of his death, Rebhorn is survived by wife Becky and his daughters Hannah and Emma as well as sister Janice Galbraith.
While the Scent of a Woman standout has been the subject of moving tributes from fans, critics and costars since news of his passing broke on Sunday, it turns out that Redhorn wrote his own obituary some time during his final days.
Boy Bands = Cute boys that can sing and dance. Enjoy some of my favorites:
The Boys  "Dial My Heart"
Another Bad Creation  "Iesha"
New Edition  "If It Isn't Love"
New Kids on the Block  "You Got It (The Right Stuff)"
Backstreet Boys  "The Call"
O-Town  "Liquid Dreams"
This one was harder than I thought to post. There are a lot of boy bands out there. I left out a few because, to be honest, some I just didn’t like (*cough*Hanson*cough*) and others I am just too damn old to even like (*cough*One Direction*cough*). If I forgot some of your faves, please let it on me below in the form of a comment...... (*cough*attentionh00r*cough*)
P.S. I am still not sure I would consider Boyz II Men a “boy band”. It’s debatable.
It's hard being a Fangirl
There are so many fandoms out there, with elitists, snobs or better yet passionate fangirls for lack of a better name for them, that for some reason or another, that feel the need to put down other fandoms or the fans that love them. We are all passionate about one thing or another and don’t want to back down from our convictions or loves, but we are all fans that is our common link and we often forget that.
Being a fan of something or someone gives us the most joy and helps links us in a special way. We all need to just get along and remember that. That is the basis of all fangirls. We love something or someone!
A lot of avid readers of Young Adult books that were older than 18, back in 2005 when Twilight was first published forget that there we not many if any books to captivate us and get older readers reading this genre. Twilight whether you like it or not, opened the door for other books and series that many of us are clamoring for and reading and making successful and seeing them now on the big screen.  The Vampire Diaries written by L.J. Smith was out way before Twilight  back in 1991 and didn't have much of a following until the success of The Twilight books and then they saw the potential and bam we have a hit series on our hands. Yet some hardcore TVD fans will look down their noses at Twilight fans like they are pariah. Without Twilight there would be no TVD on every week, so maybe just say thank you.
Divergent fans that have been fans of the series for a while are on the fence from what I have seen in tweets that their beloved series is now a hit movie and that they will have to share it with the rest of the world that is just catching on. Well, again, if it was for Twilight and Summit a lot of people would not have known about this series. While we Twilight fans were standing on line and waiting at Tent City, they handed out Divergent to all of us. So some Twilight fans found the book and fell in love with it because of Twilight.
Fans are fans people whether we find the books on our own before they become popular in the book community or if we find them after that have been cast and are about to hit the big screen we are fans!  The more the merrier. Yes if you follow the book all the way to the big screen, you can bitch and moan and complain when they didn't cast your fave, but when it all comes down to it the more people that fall in love with the book or the newly released movie the better chances of success and sequels. So don’t complain when people “jump on the bandwagon” some people are a little slower to find the books, TV Shows or movies, but it doesn't make them less of a fan.
I was late to the Twilight party and until this admission no one knew about it! I found the books by accident after the movie was cast and right before they started the promos all over the TV and in the malls near us. I am still and will forever call Twilight my love. I hold my head up high and proud when I speak of the books and the movies. After Twilight, I found The Vampire Diaries books, I couldn't get enough of vampires and the YA section. I was disappointed that the show changed from the books, but for those that never read the books or didn't know about them it doesn't matter, it’s a huge success and there is no going back. I watch the show religiously and I can’t even imagine it would have been so successful if they never strayed from the books. And having Ian and Paul as the leads sure doesn't hurt, but the point it I was a fan and was salivating for the show when they said it was happening. I am forever grateful that fans caught on to the books, and the show and it’s the success that it is. For the “true” TVD fans to snub fans that are or {gasps} used to be Twilight fans isn't right. We are all fans!
Yes Twilight vampires sparkle, and TVD ones, need a ring to mingle in society with no one getting suspicious, but authors have a different way of writing. It’s that simple. Doesn't mean one vampire group is better than the other. I love the Lynsay Sands Argeneau Vampire books (Not YA, but so wicked and worth finding and reading) I found them after Twilight when I was looking for something different to read and stay true to my love of vampires. She took it to an entire different level and blows me away. I tweet, and blog about them any chance I get. I would love for more people to find her books and read them. The more fans the better.
We are all passionate about our loves whether they are books, TV shows, or movies. There is always room for more fans. It’s ok to love them and welcome and sometimes explain why a book is maybe better than a movie, and maybe get that person to now read the book. Maybe then the popularity would increase and that author would get more fans and maybe just maybe we could get more books or movies.
It’s OK to be a fangirl for more than one thing, it doesn't make you less of a fan, it makes you diverse and human.
What makes you a fangirl? What books, TV show or movies are you passionate about and would like to share with us. We would love to hear from you.
'Divergent' author, star talk sweet marshmallows and not-so-sweet character
"Divergent" author Veronica Roth keeps her promises. She once told readers of her blog that when she found success and landed a book deal, she would jump into a pool of mini-marshmallows. And that's just what she did.
Well, close enough. In a video she shared on her blog (below), Roth actually decided to just hop into a bathtub of mini-marshmallows instead.
Hottie of the Week!
So how am I going to beat last week’s Hottie?? It will definitely be a challenge! But sit back, relax and read on…
This week’s Hottie is another personal favorite of mine. He is a man with many sides. First and foremost, to qualify on the hottie scale, he is gorgeous (I am biased, sue me). Secondly, he is intelligent (another fine quality, if you ask me). And last, he has to be one of the sweetest people I have ever met. If you don’t know him, make sure to look him up when you get done reading this!
DIVERGENT' COSTUME DESIGNER BREAKS DOWN THE FACTIONS' LOOKS
"Everything you see in the movie has been made, except some shoes -- and the underwear," says Carlo Poggioli.
FROM LEFT: Zoe Kravitz as Christina in her Candor uniform and Shailene Woodley as Tris in her Abnegation outfit before taking a leap to become Dauntless. @Via SUMMIT Entertainment
With five factions in Divergent, costume designer Carlo Poggioli was tasked with creating thousands of costumes for the Summit film based on Veronica Roth's best-selling YA novel. To capture each group's virtue, Poggioli worked on designing nearly every outfit by incorporating certain costume features that reflected their traits.
"There are thousands of costumes and everything you see in the movie has been made, except some shoes that we had to buy -- and the underwear," Poggioli tells Pret-a-Reporter. "From the belts to bracelets, everything has been made for us." Poggioli had his costumes -- which required more than 50,000 yards of fabric -- made in workshops around the globe, in places including Rome, Budapest, Bucharest, Chicago and Los Angeles.
To understand each faction's signature look, Poggioli breaks down the details for us.
Movie Review: Divergent
Divergent comes out this Friday and we couldn't be happier and more excited for you to see it. We had the privilege of seeing it at two screenings and meeting Veronica herself as well Ansel Elgort, Christian Madsen (“Al”), and Ben Lloyd-Hughes (“Will”). The movie beat all of my expectations and then some.
I first read Divergent back in 2012 and I liked, I found it hard to get into at first, and I’m "that girl", if it doesn't grab me right away, I either may not finish it cause I am bored, or I finish it out of curiosity to see what the big deal is. That was my first round of reading Divergent. So when I went to see the movie for the first time, the book was so far out of my mind, that it was as if I was living it for the first time and how could I refuse, I was getting to see Theo James bring ‘Four’ to life on the big screen. Theo was my hook, I cannot tell a lie, as if you guys don’t adore him and drool over him as well. But I digress, Divergent is so more than Theo, it is an amazing story and original and unique but you all knew that already from reading the book, and if you haven’t get to it, it’s a must read, even if you go see the movie this Friday March 21.
Fanfic Rec Wednesday – Wisp
I would normally only rec completed fics because some people don’t want to read WIPs (work-in-progress) just in case the author flounces and we are left hanging, heartbroken, wondering what happens next. Also, many people won’t read WIPs because they are too impatient to wait for the next chapter in between updates.
Of course, there are many people who do read WIPs. It’s fun to be able to interact with an author during that creative process.
I want to rec my favourite WIP, Wisp by Cris (@judo_lin).  Read it here on fanfiction.net.
This is one of the very first REAL fan fiction stories I started reading. Like most of the fics I picked up in the beginning, I found out about it by lurking around twitter and cyber-eavesdropping on people’s conversations.
I feel like this rec should come with a disclaimer. It’s not for the faint of heart …or stomach. The “Bella” character (Wisp) has endured the most horrific torture one could possibly imagine. It’s absolutely gut-wrenching, but if you can get through that, you also get to enjoy the heart-warming aspects of the story.
Many people may only see all that Wisp can’t do (for example, she doesn't walk and, at first, doesn't speak at all) and how much she is hindered by the loss of her abilities and even her sense of humanity. But I actually find the story uplifting in a way. Wisp’s innate ability to love is very strong and pure. She is fierce and protective when it comes to those she cares about, namely Edward or her cat, Pet. You don’t want to mess with her. (She literally bites.)
And Edward… oh Edward. *sigh* The same quality I liked best about “Originalward” (Stephenie Meyer’s Edward) is this Edward’s most prominent feature. He is unapologetically protective. It’s incredibly sweet. I adore him.
For me, Wisp is a ‘drop everything’ fic. When the update alerts hit my inbox, I am guaranteed a good read. I was hooked as soon as I started reading it. It’s been one of my very favourites right from the beginning. It’s well-written and compelling. Check it out.
"The Way of the Ninja" - 06.18 Castle
This week's episode was such a refreshing reminder of all the reasons that I've fallen head over heels for Castle! I will admit, and not be the first actually to concede that this episode blew away all of my expectations. I personally don't watch the promos that get released on Monday, I want to leave a couple of surprise moments, and this tactic did not let me down! The episode originally looked like a fluff episode with an unlikely villain, far fetched Castle theories, and Beckett dealing with Castle's "alternative" interrogation techniques. However, the underlying depth and relationship moments of this episode were incredible testaments to the writers, cast, and crew!  And in a request that is years old.... Nathan Fillion finally got his ninja assassins!!
                                  “Castle is, right now, very into ninja assassins.”
The drama follows Southland star Ben McKenzie as a young Detective Gordon with his partner Harvey Bullock played by Sons of Anarchy's Donal Logue as the fight crime in Gotham City before the Batman ever existed. Check them out below.
