Reuniting and it feels so good...

Bruce Willis and M Night Shyamalan to reunite for Labour of Love

Sixth Sense collaborators in talks to bring Shyamalan's screenplay about a man who walks across the US as love letter to late wife

Sixth Sense duo Bruce Willis and M Night Shyamalan are in talks to reunite on a new drama about a man who sets out to traverse the United States on foot after losing his wife in a tragic accident.
Labour of Love is based on a screenplay Shyamalan sold prior to finding mainstream success with the 1999 supernatural thriller, his third film as director. It will be his first movie with Willis since Unbreakable, in 2000.
The new film is set in Philadelphia, where both The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable took place, but fans expecting a return to the style of the duo's early collaborations may be disappointed. Labour of Love contains no supernatural elements, according to Deadline, and the project may not lend itself to the film-maker's trademark "twist" ending.
Shyamalan's screenplay centres on a taciturn bookshop owner, Willis, who is haunted by the notion that he never told his late wife how much he loved her. Recalling that she once asked him if he would walk across the country for her, he sets out to do just that as an expression of his adoration. The film will follow the journey from Philadephia on the east coast to the city of Pacifica, in California, her favourite place to visit.
Deadline suggests that Shyamalan's script is owned by Twentieth Century Fox, but reports that negotiations are under way to release the screenplay ahead of a possible sale at the Berlin film festival in February.
Shyamalan's critical standing has been on a distinct downward spiral since The Sixth Sense brought him Oscar-nominations for best director and best original screenplay in 2000. His films Lady in the WaterThe Happening and The Last Airbender were nominated for Razzie awards, which celebrate the year's worst-reviewed movies. The director's most recent film, the Will and Jaden Smith sci-fi turkey After Earth, is up for six prizes, including worst director and worst screenplay, at this year's event.

Tom Hiddleston Wears Captain America Suit In Cut Scene

Tom Hiddleston
Tom Hiddleston is best known for the role of Loki, but in a cut scene from Thor: The Dark World we see him wear the Captain America suit.

Hiddleston reprised the role of Loki in the second Thor film last year, a movie that saw him reunite with Chris Hemsworth.

This fantastic alternate scene sees Loki at his mischievous and comic best:

Thor: The Dark World was a box office smash when it hit the big screen last year. The movie went on to gross in excess of $632 million at the global box office.

Hiddleston and Thor reprised their roles as warring brothers Loki and Thor, while Alan Taylor took over the director's chair.

Hiddleston will be back on the big screen later this year with Only Lovers Left Alive and Muppets Most Wanted.

He is currently treading the boards in a production of Coriolanus, but has Crimson Peak in the pipeline.

Crimson Peak will see Guillermo del Toro return to the director's chair, while Charlie Hunnam and Jessica Chastain are on the cast list.

Thor: the Dark World is released on DVD & Blu-Ray 24th February.

'Sleepy Hollow' Promotes John Noble, Lyndie Greenwood To Series Regulars For Season 2

To reward them -- and the fans -- both actors have been upgraded to series regulars for the show's second season, as reported by Deadline. "Sleepy Hollow" had a 13-episode premiere season on Fox, which has already wrapped. It returns to the network in fall 2014.

"Suddenly Sorceress" a wonderful romp into the mind of Erica Lucke Dean

                                                         Barnes and Noble

                                                         Kobo

                                                         Apple

I was gifted a ARC of "Suddenly Sorceress" but HAD to buy a copy too. I loved Erica's debut novel "To Katie with Love" so I was very exited for this novel. I seriously enjoyed every minute. Erica had me hooked by the end of the first page. Then she kept me fully entertained until the last word.

This book is very well written and the characters are extremely well developed, as well as hilariously funny at times. Actually most of the time. Oh who am I kidding, all the time.

The concept is awesome and surprising. Imagine finding out you have magical abilities when you turn your cheating ex fiancé into a skunk? Trust me when I say you really need to read this book as soon as you can get your grubby paws on it. Then do yourself a favour and get her other book too.

Here is a small excerpt to wet your appetite:

Prologue

“You’re too sexy, my ass!” I tried to tune out the Right Said Fred ringtone as I fished my fiancĂ©’s cell phone from the pocket of his discarded Dockers. I glared at the flashing caller ID. “You just don’t give up, do you?”

That was lucky number thirteen. Thirteen missed calls in the span of an hour. Thirteen calls he was unable to answer.

Because of me.

After pressing ignore one more time, I shoved the phone back into the pocket where it belonged, hoping it would muffle the sound somewhat. I didn’t know why I didn’t just turn off the damn thing. I’d endured his ridiculous ring tone more times than anyone should have to, obviously determined to punish myself. Between the maddening song and the horrible smell, I certainly felt punished. Even if it wasn’t nearly enough.

Way down deep in my bones, I knew my life had been forever changed. Even if I could somehow fix things—put them back to normal—nothing would be the same again. Not ever.

Swallowing against the crystal ball-sized lump in my throat, I dropped Matt’s pants where I’d found them, along with his shirt, his boxers, and his shoes, and I collapsed onto the rumpled blankets on the bed.

That sort of thing didn’t happen in the real world. Only small children or crazy people believed in… no, I refused to even think the word, let alone say it. It’s impossible. But I’d seen it with my own eyes, and whatever it was, it definitely wasn’t normal.

My scruffy housecat made another frantic orbit around my feet as the phone sounded again, the self-centered lyrics looping, making me cringe. Apparently, he’d also grown weary of the tune.

If only I could say the choice of ring tone was ironic, a product of his wry sense of humor. But he didn’t have much of a sense of humor. Matthew Green was exactly that arrogant. Despite every despicable thing he’d done to me, every insult, lie, and betrayal that had led us there, I truly wished Matt could answer his stupid phone himself. Unfortunately, wishing didn’t seem to be on my side that morning.

Stifling a groan, I pulled myself from the warmth of the bed to dig the phone out of Matt’s pocket again. Geez, persistent much? With a deep, cleansing breath, I mashed down the button to accept the call.

“Matt! Where are you?” Matt’s receptionist, Ginger, snapped before I had a chance to say hello. “Friday’s your busiest day. Do you have any idea what time it is? You’ve already missed two appointments.”

Even without caller ID, I would have recognized her breathy Betty Boop voice. She sounded as though she’d been sucking helium all morning. I didn’t know her well, but I suspected she was banging my fiancĂ©.

“We’ll be lucky if there’s enough time for a quickie before the next patient arrives,” she continued in a whisper.

Yep… definitely banging him.

“And another thing.” Her sweet baby voice morphed into a feral growl. “Candy’s been standing outside your office all morning. I thought you said you were done with her? I’m not kidding, Matt, if I find out you’re still screwing her, I’m going to cut off your balls.”

Apparently, I was engaged to a pathological cheater. Of course, I hadn’t known that when I agreed to marry him. There were a lot of things I didn’t know about Matt. Then again, there was a lot I didn’t know about me.

“Well? Aren’t you going to say anything?”

“Uh… hi, Ginger.” I cleared my throat and resisted the urge to “say anything.” “This is Ivie. Matt can’t come to the phone. I… uh... don’t think he’s going to be able to… uh… make it into work today.” I managed to stammer through the basics without my voice cracking.

“Oh, hi, Ivie.” Her voice changed again; she sounded as if she’d been sucking lemons. She didn’t even have the decency to be embarrassed. “What’s wrong with Matt? He hasn’t missed a day in… Actually, I don’t think he’s ever called in sick.”

My eyes darted to the closed bathroom door, and I shuddered. “He’s really not feeling like himself today.” Understatement of the century.

“Is he sick?”

“Um… I definitely don’t think anyone wants what he has.” I tiptoed around the answer. I wasn’t good at coy, but I gave it my best shot.

“Oh… Well, in that case, maybe it’s best if he stays home.” I could almost see her coiling a lock of her thick red hair around her finger as she spoke. “Just tell him I hope he feels better, and not to worry. I’ll reschedule his appointments for him. Do you think he’ll be well enough to come in Monday?”

I tamped down a flicker of panic. “I really hope so.” But I seriously doubt it.

After listening to Ginger rant for a minute about missed appointments and the difficult task of rescheduling, I ended the call, staring at the bathroom door as if I expected a silent command to open it. I closed my eyes and tried to imagine the door swinging wide and my fiancĂ© sauntering out. I popped open one eye. The door hadn’t moved—not even a crack.

For far too long, I’d avoided that room. With three tentative steps, I closed the distance between myself and the master bathroom, covering my mouth and nose with one hand as I cracked the door. I’d almost gotten used to the foul odor in the bedroom. It was bad but not unbearable. The stench in the bathroom was overwhelming. The fumes poured out, bringing tears to my eyes. The small space reeked worse than when I’d locked him in there last night. It smelled as if someone had cooked up a potion of burning tires and rotten eggs in a boiling vat of sour ammonia, and even that comparison wasn’t quite bad enough.

Blinking back the sting of tears, I scanned the room. I didn’t see him anywhere, just a puddle that looked suspiciously like urine in one corner and in the other, a makeshift bed fashioned out of—were those my good bath towels?

No Matt.

A quick rush of adrenaline kick-started my heart. What’s happened to him now? This is bad. Very, very bad. As if things weren’t bad enough already. What sort of person was I? What I’d done was unspeakable, so horrible even I didn’t know what I’d done.

Just as I was about to have a full-blown panic attack, he slinked out from behind the hamper. I should have been relieved he was still alive, but I wasn’t sure if his current state was much better. He stared up at me—his beady little black eyes blinking in the harsh fluorescent light—so much smaller than he used to be and covered in a thick pelt of black and white fur. My fiancĂ©.

The skunk.

Are they really just teens, tweens and young adults growing up or something else?

When child stars grow up and want to change their squeaky clean image in favor of a more grown up or an adult look or attitude who should be held accountable when they fail, struggle or show signs they need help?

They say they don’t want to be or are not role models, but when you are in the public eye and in an industry that calculates your every move both good and bad, you need someone to watch your back and help your transition to an adult. Amanda Bynes, Miley Cyrus; and the latest to be added to the list of rebels or just plain growing pained teens, Justin Beiber. But this is getting out of control! Justin was arrested this past week in Miami Beach for drag racing, and DUI.

Justin emerged on the scene at 15 and burst to stardom and the top of the charts breaking all the tweens and teen girls’ hearts along the way, now at 19 he is acting like a pseudo adult and getting arrested. Yes I understand that he is an adult, but with the money and power that he has from such a young age who was there or is there to tell him right from wrong, guide him through the bumps along the way to being an adult. At 19 he has been arrested, let me repeat that arrested at 19 for DUI when the legal drinking age in Florida is 21. Yes all teens go through a rebellious stage, but not all teens are that wealthy and are on the cover of every teen magazine and a role model. Justin isn't the first that this has happened to and he won’t be the last.

Miley was on the top of all the tabloids not too long ago and making headlines of her own, no, not for getting arrested, but bad or rather questionable choices. She has said she is an adult and didn't want to be like her Hannah Montana persona from Disney, but while she is grown or growing up, not all of her fans have, and still look up to her. She could care less, naked videos, pot smoking, barely there outfits and outrageous tweets and interviews. I do understand that she is also just growing up and rebelling, but when you are a tween, teen or young adult in the public eye with unlimited money and a sense of entitlement someone needs to guide you and help you navigate the choppy waters.

Most of the times the parents are the ones pushing, promoting, and keeping you in the public eye, or even worse living vicariously through their children as was the case with Lindsay Lohan and her mom Dina. Party hopping, drinking and over all debauchery with your underage child is not a way to bond, but a way to get into rehab, and then kill her career. So clearly the parents can’t help guide these kids though the trials and tribulations of growing up.

Agents and managers I suppose are just as bad, but they should step in and say something. If they don’t they will be dealing with damage control down the road in the case of Justin Beiber and his DUI, the tabloids were the ones to contact his people as to his arrest!

There needs to be mentors or advocates to act on behalf of the kids or be a liaison to guide them. Yes they should all know right from wrong, but the problem is no one is telling them they are wrong. Their morals and values are skewed, their heads are puffed up and filled with their sense of entitlement and just keep spending money or trying to buy what they want or buy their way out of messes or into trouble. The industry needs to wake up and doing something about it. Child stars that have overcome these growing pains and moved successfully into adulthood either unscathed or made it through those teen angst years should step up and maybe guide these up and comers. Something has got to be done, the big wigs can’t keep looking the other way as if it’s not happening or things aren't going horribly wrong.

Not all child stars turn out bad, or went bad in the public eye. Alyssa Milano has blossomed and is still acting. Neil Patrick Harris is amazing and I don’t ever remember seeing his name in any of the tabloids as he was growing up. The guys for New Kids On The Block and N’Sync made headlines for breaking girls hearts, but nothing with drugs, strippers or DUI and they are still around and relevant and making music. They all grew up in the public eye. Clearly the parents and support systems were in place when these success stories were growing up.

It all comes back to a support system. If these child stars, teens or young adults; whatever we are calling them these days,  do not have anyone worthy watching their backs or guiding them, they will be destined to be bad choices and horrible mistakes that can cost them their careers or worse their lives.

Lucky Number Four is a winner!!!

This is the first solo work of Carol Kunz writing as Amanda Jason. She is part of the awesome writing duo C.A. Kunz with her son Adam, authors of the "Childe" series. I have enjoyed Adam's work and I have loved the duo's work, so I was rather excited to see what Carol will come out with.

I bought the book and started reading it with higher than normal expectations. I was definitely NOT disappointed. It was awesome.

The concept is different and fresh and the writing was great. the characters are incredible and I sooooo wish I was the heroin of this book.

Imagine moving in with three red hot models, who consider you their "Lucky Number Four". How can you resist. I really enjoyed this romantic romp with these characters. I also have to admit that Carol KNOWS HOW TO WRITE A KISS.

So what are you waiting for?

Vote for your favourite David Beckham Super Bowl advert

It's up to you to decide which David Beckham for H&M advert by Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn will air during the Super Bowl

News of David Beckham's Super Bowl slot reached us just a matter of weeks ago, and now more exciting details have been released.

The former footballer is no stranger to working with Hollywood directors - for his last H&M TV ad he collaborated with Guy Ritchie - so it comes as little surprise that he's secured yet another big name for this action-and-underwear-packed piece; Nicolas Winding Refn, director of Drive and Only God Forgives.

Though they'll sadly be no Gosling in this Winding Refn number, there will be an underwear-clad Beckham who has (fortunately for us) become trapped on a rooftop following a photo shoot. Cue some impressive stunts, all performed by Beckham himself, as he tries to get himself to safety.

To add an extra element of excitement, the duo has filmed two alternative versions of the advert and it's up to you, his adoring public, to decide which is screened during the Super Bowl on February 2. From January 27, log on to hm.com to watch the options and vote for your favourite.

"It was so exciting to work with one of my favourite directors, Nicolas Winding Refn, on my new campaign for H&M. Nicolas pushed me hard to create an action-packed film, which shows off this season's new heritage-inspired bodywear at its best," says David Beckham.

The ad will feature pieces from Beckham's spring 2014 bodywear collection for H&M as well as pieces from his newly-announced Mini-Me children's collection.

Jesse L. Martin To Co-Star in CW Pilot ‘The Flash’

The project, from Warner Bros TV and Berlanti Productions, is an origin story about Barry Allen aka The Flash (Gustin), a Central City assistant police forensics investigator who arrives in Starling to look into a series of unexplained robberies that may have a connection to a tragedy in his past. Kristen Stewart spent five Twilight films getting rescued by werewolves and vampires. Consider Camp X-Ray her rebuttal to a half-decade of playing damsels in distress.
