Hottie of the Week!

This week was a challenge for me. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to stick to athletes, go to TV personalities or if Movie actors would be my cup of tea. After careful consideration and many minutes of debate inside my own head, I finally decided. Why not combine a few? Well, if you can call Quidditch a sport that is. When falling into the world of Harry Potter, the players in the game would definitely qualify as the jocks of the wizarding world. So, even though some of these people may not have played, they all enjoyed to watch. And, they are all grown up. Some you may not even recognize! Welcome to Hogwarts!

Radcliffe: Booze helped me cope

Daniel Radcliffe has revealed how he sought comfort in alcohol, because it helped him deal with his post-Harry Potter pressures.

The 24-year-old admitted worrying about his career after the wizard film series ended in 2011 was enough to make him turn to booze, in an interview that will air on Sky Arts later this year. He previously confessed to turning up drunk on the set of the wizarding films, after a heavy session the night before.

Daniel Radcliffe will star in black comedy The Cripple of Inishmaan in London, whilst Hugh Jackman will take centrestage in drama/mystery production, The River.

I don't know how he has does it! The Broadway bound Daniel Radcliffe is set to film Brooklyn Bridge directly after the West End transfer of The Cripple of Inishmaan ends its limited engagement on July 20, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

LONDON — In the run-up to the AFM, Daniel Radcliffe has been confirmed to star in “Gold,” which tells the story of Sebastian Coe’s rivalry with fellow athlete Steve Ovett in the years leading up to the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games.

Pic will reunite Radcliffe with British director James Watkins (“Eden Lake”) following their 2012 box office hit “The Woman in Black.” Its screenplay is by Simon Beaufoy (“Slumdog Millionaire”) and Will Davies (“How to Train Your Dragon”), and the film will be produced by Joanna Anderson and Vicky Licorish (“Small Island”) and Kevin Loader (“Hyde Park on Hudson,” “Le Week-end”).

BBC Films and the British Film Institute have developed the project with AL Films. BBC Films’ head Christine Langan will executive produce.

Financing is also provided by Ingenious Senior Film Fund, represented by Gavin Poolman.

Tim Haslam and Hugo Grumbar’s Embankment Films is selling worldwide and will be launching the film at the AFM.

Haslam said: “Gold is a movie about an insatiable need to win, fuelled by intense ambition, only possible through the support of loving family.”

The film is based on the book “The Perfect Distance” by Pat Butcher, who also acts as consultant on the project.

Planning is underway for a shoot in the U.K. and Russia in April next year.

One Direction Overthrow Daniel Radcliffe To Become Richest Young British Stars

One Direction have overthrown Daniel Radcliffe from the number one spot in a rich list of young stars.

The singers have shot to the summit of Heat magazine's Rich List for under-30s with combined earnings estimated at £59.33 million.

Harry Potter star Radcliffe has topped the list since it was established in 2010, but is this year in second place with £56.19 million.

One Direction - soon to release their third album Midnight Memories - were included as a single entry for their total earnings, rather than individually, because the money has been generated by the group rather than for any solo work.

The highest new entry is DJ and music producer Calvin Harris who was number 8 in the list with £22.2 million.

The stars' financial dealings, including TV shows, movies, record sales and product endorsements, were examined by a panel of industry experts.

Box Office (Specialty): '12 Years a Slave' Opens Big, Attracts Diverse Audience

Ocean-set drama "All Is Lost" -- starring Robert Redford -- debuts in New York and Los Angeles to more muted numbers; ditto for Daniel Radcliffe's "Kill Your Darlings."

Steve McQueen's harrowing drama 12 Years a Slave did impressive business in its theatrical debut, playing to both arthouse audiences and African-Americans as it continues to build awards momentum.

The Fox Searchlight release grossed $960,000 from 19 theaters in six top markets for an enviable location average of $50,526, by far the best of the weekend and one of the top averages ever for a movie opening in that number of theaters.

Produced by New Regency and Plan B -- Brad Pitt and Dede Gardner's company -- 12 Years a Slave has earned stellar reviews since its world premiere at the Telluride Film Festival. It also drew an A CinemaScore.

The film, financed by New Regency, tells the true story ofSolomon Northup, a free black man living in upstate New York who was kidnapped and sold into slavery. ChiwetelEjiofor, who plays Northup, stars opposite Michael Fassbender, Benedict Cumberbatch, Lupita Nyong'o,Sarah Paulson, Paul Giamatti, Alfre Woodward, Paul Dano and Pitt.

Searchlight distribution chief Frank Rodriguez said 12 Years a Slave "reached an incredibly diverse audience. Playing in theaters including Lincoln Plaza in New York and the Showcase Icon in Chicago, we have been attracting both the art/specialty cinephile crowd, as well as the African-American audience."

On Friday, 12 Years a Slave will expand into an additional six cities and increase its total theater count to more than 100.

Two other high-profile award contenders, All Is Lost and Kill Your Darlings, saw more mixed results in their debuts. They were likely hurt by the continued strength of adult dramas Gravity and Captain Phillips, as well as 12 Years a Slave.

The ocean-set All Is Lost, directed by Margin Call's J.C. Chandor and starring Robert Redford, grossed $97,350 from six theaters in Los Angeles and New York for a so-so location average of $16,225.

All Is Lost, however, could have strong sea legs thanks to Redford's star power and stellar reviews. The film -- about a sailor lost at sea -- isn't an easy sell, considering it has virtually no dialogue. Roadside Attractions and Lionsgate are distributing the film domestically.

Kill Your Darlings, from Sony Pictures Classics, opened to $57,722 from four theaters in Los Angeles and New York for a location average of $14,430. The film, set in 1944, stars Daniel Radcliffe as a young Allen Ginsberg, the iconic Beat poet, and Dane DeHaan as fellow poet William Burroughs.

"Harry Potter" fans stampede for Radcliffe in Venice

The Venice film festival descended briefly into chaos Sunday as screaming "Harry Potter" fans stampeded across the seafront after British star Daniel Radcliffe, in town to present his new film.

Radcliffe, who rose to fame playing the child wizard, was surrounded by bodyguards and police, but that did not stop some admirers pushing their way into the bathroom with him during a press conference break.

The 24-year-old shrugged off suggestions that the clamour of hyperventilating teenagers on Venice's picturesque Lido island was intimidating.

"Thankfully, it's not always like this," he told the press conference, as a crowd outside thumped on the walls and rattled the windows trying to get in.

"I've been dealing with it in various ways since I was 11. I don't take it seriously, actually I think it's funny," said a smiling Radcliffe, sporting a blue polo shirt, rainbow-coloured socks and pastel pink sneakers.

The actor -- with his parents in tow -- may be an A-lister, but he still has a schoolboy air, and rather than the usual cocktail soiree held to honour Venice stars, he has requested a Karaoke party.

Radcliffe was in Venice to present "Kill Your Darlings", a Beat Generation film by John Chokidars, in which he plays a young Allen Ginsberg.

He said he thought fans would enjoy the flick, which explores themes from drug use to homosexuality.

"I'm incredibly grateful for the swirl of support behind me. My fans seem excited by the unconventional path I am taking," he said.

"I love poetry and it was fantastic to get the part and have the opportunity to dive into Ginsberg's life. The diaries he made when he was young gave me an amazing insight into his character," he said.

For fans of "A Young Doctor's Notebook", a television series starring Radcliffe as a doctor forced take up a post in a small, remote hospital in Russia, the actor promised "series two is funnier and even darker."
