‘Sleepy Hollow’ is looking for men to play Revolutionary War-era soldiers in Wilmington, NC

Fox’s TV series Sleepy Hollow is looking for extras for a big Revolutionary War scene shooting in Wilmington, NC during the first week of filming on the show’s second season.

The production is seeking Caucasian males 18-50 years old to appear as Revolutionary War-era soldiers in a battle scene filming on May 7.

Here are the details:

Applicants must be available April 28 or 29 for costume fittings, May 6 for battle rehearsal and May 7 for the day of filming. They must also be willing and available to work 12-plus-hour days for filming and rehearsal.

To be considered, those interested must be able to fit in jacket sizes 38-44, have no facial piercing or recognizable tattoos on the neck, face or hands, and be willing to be cleanly shaven with no long sideburns.

Revolutionary War reenactors are encouraged to apply.

Compensation is $64/8 for rehearsal and filming, and time and a half after eight hours.

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

There is just something about the fantasy that wraps around you when you consider running your fingers through Ichabod Crane’s silky blond hair that just kind of evaporates when you discover that actor Tom Mison is wearing a wig for the part.  Now, don’t get me wrong, Tom is a hottie but Ichabod is well, beautiful.

I sparked a bit of a debate this week about Tom’s hair on Twitter after commenting that I was shocked when I found it he really had short hair so I began to examine the origins of my hair trauma and unraveled my own mystery.

For me, it’s about the fantasy of the shows these actors are in and the roles they play. In “Sleepy Hollow,” Ichabod’s hair is long. When I saw a picture of Tom Mison recently it just kind of ripped my fantasy away – not that it is a bad thing. It just made it quite clear where the lines in the sand are when it comes to our favorite shows.

I was stunned when Stana Katic from “Castle” cut her hair last summer and not because the cut isn’t cute and she isn’t gorgeous and uber talented but more along the lines of “How could you just cut it all away?”

I think I’m okay if I know upfront the actor wears wigs like in the cases of the beautiful and talented ladies Lana Parrilla and Ginnifer Goodwin from “Once Upon a Time.” Hair lengths switch back and forth and I can maintain my hair composure because I still have that little conditioner of fantasy to fall back on. Maybe a chat with my stylist will calm my issues but until then I will have to accept hair today that might be gone tomorrow!

'Sleepy Hollow' Promotes John Noble, Lyndie Greenwood To Series Regulars For Season 2

While the first season of "Sleepy Hollow" was held together brilliantly by the electric chemistry between its leads, Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie, a true ensemble formed by season's end. Two of the most important pieces of that puzzle were recurring players John Noble and Lyndie Greenwood. To reward them -- and the fans -- both actors have been upgraded to series regulars for the show's second season, as reported by Deadline. "Sleepy Hollow" had a 13-episode premiere season on Fox, which has already wrapped. It returns to the network in fall 2014.

Mission accomplished, Sleepy Hollow. Mission freakin' accomplished. We don't know about you, but we're still scrapping the remnants of our jaws off the floor after the Fox hit's epic season one finale, which found Abbie (Nicole Beharie) trapped in purgatory, Ichabod (Tom Mison) buried alive (Worst father-son reunion ever?), Irving (Orlando Jones) in jail and Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) possibly dead after a major car wreck. Yeah, Sleepy Hollow's finale pretty much redefined the word epic.

TV Ratings: 'Sleepy Hollow' Opens Big on Fox, 'Dancing' Grows, 'Dome' Wraps Strong

UPDATED: The first new scripted series of the season gets an impressive debut, while "DWTS" improves over last fall's opener, "Under the Dome" finishes its season on a high note and "Million Second Quiz" shows few signs of life.

The first real night of competition in the new fall season gives a victory to Fox's Sleepy Hollow. The freshman drama, the first scripted premiere of the 2013-14 season, averaged a 3.5 rating among adults 18-49 and 10.1 million viewers. That final rating is up 133 percent from last fall's comparable debut for the short-lived Mob Doctor and bests The Following (3.1 adults) as the highest-rated Fox drama of the last six years. Based on previous series' performances, Fox is projecting the episode will deliver between a 5.1 and a 5.4 rating in Live+Seven DVR returns -- a boost of up to 60 percent.

Ahead of Sleepy Hollow, Bones returned to Fox in line with last fall. The veteran procedural averaged a 2.3 rating in the key demo, even with its most recent premiere. Sleepy Hollow, steady from its first to second half-hour, was up 55 percent from its lead-in. The network topped nightly averages with a preliminary 2.8 rating among adults 18-49 and 8.8 million viewers.

The return of Dancing With the Stars marked significant improvement for the ABC series. Now airing just once a week, in a two-hour format, Monday's performance show averaged a 3.2 rating among adults 18-49 and 16.2 million viewers in Fast National returns. In the demo, that marks a 25 percent improvement from last fall's premiere. ABC's nightly average may be slightly skewed by the Pittsburgh affiliate airing Monday Night Football, but early returns have the network averaging a 2.6 adults rating and a dominant 13.4 million viewers. (The network aired a Castle encore at 10 p.m.)

After two hours of comedy encores, CBS wrapped the summer run of Under the Dome up a solid eight-tenths of a point. The series pulled a 2.8 rating with adults 18-49, winning 10 p.m. and scoring its best demo showing since July. CBS averaged a 1.7 adults rating and 7.2 million viewers.

Increased competition in the 8 p.m. hour brought more bad news for NBC's strugglingMillion Second Quiz. The game show averaged a 1.1 rating among adults 18-49, up from its Friday and Saturday showings but down six-tenths of a point from last Monday's debut.American Ninja Warrior (1.6 adults) bested its lead-in considerably, down just a tenth of a point from last week, while the finale of Siberia (0.8 adults) grew by two-tenths. NBC, which aired Monday Night Football in Cincinnati, averaged a 1.2 rating among adults 18-49 and 3.4 million viewers.

The CW aired a new episode of Breaking Pointe (0.2 adults), even with last week. The network averaged a 0.2 adults rating and 602,000 viewers.

Over on the Spanish-speaking nets, Univision pulled a 1.2 adults rating and 3.2 million viewers, while Telemundo averaged a 0.5 rating with 18-49-ers and 1.2 million viewers.
