The 45-year-old Broadway star chatted with E!'s Kristin Dos Santos this week, where she opened up about her relationship with the 40-year-old producer and shared set stories fromFifty Shades of Grey.

"I had not yet watched House of Cards when we met, and he's like, 'Well, you gotta watch my show,'" the Kirstie and Glee guest star said of watching Brunetti's Emmy Award-winning Netflix series. "We started House of Cards and it was an all-nighter. I don't know about you, but I could not stop."

When Brunetti eventually met Chenoweth's parents in Oklahoma, the Trigger Street Productions president was quizzed about the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey. "My mom's like, 'Are you doing porn?' Is that Fifty Shades of Grey porn?'" she recalled. "I'm like, 'Stop talking, mom! Quiet.'"

Chenoweth spent some time with Brunetti in Vancouver, where the film was shot, and bonded with writer E.L. James. "I think it's going to be done very, very tasteful," she said of the erotic love story.

The actress was a fan of the books, and she approves of Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson's casting.

"They're really, really salacious and wonderful. It's an easy read and fun. I think that Dakota and Jamie, I met them both—I didn't see their work because it's a closed set, but I do see how they both got the parts—could not have been lovelier. That always helps. 'You're talented and your nice?' Fantastic!"

Mega-hyped sex drama Fifty Shades of Grey could be released in two different versions, with a second cut including more explicit material,according to the film's producer.


Dana Brunetti told the Collider blog the additional version might be released a few weeks after the original cut in an effort to satisfy fans of EL James's bestselling source novel hoping for a "grittier" take. It is understood the first cut would be aimed at securing an "R" rating in the US (similar to a UK 15), while version two would target an "NC-17" (close to a UK 18).

Shooting is finally under way on the much-hyped cinematic adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.

Sam Taylor-Johnson's film features Jamie Dornan as kinky billionaire Christian Grey, with Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele, his well-remunerated sex slave.

Dornan, best known for Belfast-set BBC2 drama The Fall, replaced Charlie Hunnam in October after the Pacific Rim star reportedly got cold feet amid overwhelming attention from fans. The film's release date was subsequently pushed back from August 2014 to Valentine's Day 2015.

Fifty Shades Of Grey has hired a writer best known for penning action movies to finish off the film script, according to reports.

The Wrap says that Mark Bomback has been asked to finalize the script for the movie adaptation of the steamy novel.

Saving Mr Banks' screenwriter Kelly Marcel and Closer's Patrick Marber originally adapted EL James' best-selling erotic novel.

Mark's previous credits include action movies such as Unstoppable, The Wolverine, Total Recall and Live Free Or Die Hard.

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are set to play the lead roles in the film, with Sam Taylor-Johnson directing.

The movie will l start shooting in December, a month later than expected, following the abrupt exit of lead actor Charlie Hunnam.

Luke Grimes Joins '50 Shades Of Grey' Cast As Christian's Brother

Amid the endless hunt for an actor to play Christian Grey, you may have forgotten that "50 Shades of Grey" has other characters in it, too. Thank goodness Luke Grimes is here to jog your memory.

The "True Blood" actor has been cast as Christian's brother, Elliot, in the adaptation of E L James' best-selling novel, Variety reports. Grimes is the fourth actor to join the cast. Dakota Johnson has been on board as Anastasia Steele since the first casting reports emerged, Jamie Dornan was announced earlier this week as Charlie Hunnam's replacement in the title role, and Jennifer Ehle will play Anastasia's mother.

Grimes, 29, starred in the indie thriller "All the Boys Love Mandy Lane" and "Taken 2." He also had a recurring role on ABC's "Brothers & Sisters" before being cast as Deborah Ann Woll’s new love interest, James, on "True Blood."

The news of Dornan's casting broke on Wednesday night, and many have responded positively to the choice. Now the movie just has a few more supporting characters to cast, including Anastasia's roommate and Christian's bodyguard. The movie is set to go into production in early November following the casting shakeup and script polishing by Patrick Marber ("Closer," "Notes on a Scandal").

She's said it before, but this time E.L. James means it: Christian Grey is locked down. The "Fifty Shades of Grey" author confirmed the news on Thursday, tweeting her excitement about the casting of Jamie Dornan
 in the big screen adaptation of her wildly popular erotic novel.

Others deemed Dornan either a "great choice" or "perfect" for the role, while Susan McCaskill got into character for her tweet. "I just got the shivers!!!," she wrote. "I need a safe word to deal with this!! Yay!!"

The 31-year-old "Once Upon a Time" actor steps into the shoes of Charlie Hunnam,
 the "Sons of Anarchy" star who dropped out of the lead in the film less than a month after accepting the highly sought-after role.

In addition to James' endorsement, Dornan seemingly got the thumbs-up from one of the most important people involved in "Grey": his co-star, Dakota Johnson, 24. The actress who will portray Anastasia Steele got high praise from one of the film's producers, Michael De Luca, who told E! News earlier this week that she is, "The best partner a producer could have."

Before Dornan's casting was announced, De Luca said Johnson's "chemistry test" with her potential on-screen co-star was crucial to the process. "She's helping us look through the candidates to see which chemistry kind of captures our attention," he said. Despite what Dornan told MTV News back in October 2011 about how he gets "nervous" around the ladies,
 clearly she and Dornan ended up finding the right mix.

Actor Jamie Dornan is to play kinky billionaire Christian in the upcoming big screen take on salacious literary sensation Fifty Shades of Grey,according to Variety.

Dornan replaces Charlie Hunnam, who left the role earlier this month amid rumors that the Sons of Anarchy and Pacific Rim star had been spooked by overwhelming fan attention, or may have required more input into the script than producers were willing to grant. Studio Universal and director Sam Taylor-Johnson have been searching for a replacement ever since, with the project due for release in nine months time and shooting to start imminently.

Dornan stars as Sheriff Graham Humbert in the ABC series Once Upon a Time and also plays a serial killer in Belfast-set BBC2 crime drama The Fall. His film roles include a Swedish count in Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette. Aged 31, Dornan has also modeled for Calvin Klein, Christian Dior and Armani.

Producers made the decision to cast the County Down-born actor after screen testing him with Dakota Johnson, who remains in the lead female role of Grey's virginal paramour, Anastasia Steele. Fifty Shades centres on Grey's recruitment of Anastasia to be his well-remunerated sex slave. It is expected to be the first of a trilogy based on British author EL James' three bestselling novels.

Taylor-Johnson was revealed as the director of the film version in June. The artist turned film-maker, whose only feature film to date is the acclaimed 2009 John Lennon biopic Nowhere Boy, reportedly beat out luminaries of the calibre of Joe Wright, Bennett Miller and Gus van Sant.

Fifty Shades of Grey is due to hit cinemas in August 2014. Producers now hope to wrap up the cast by finding an actor to play Anastasia's flat-mate, Kate. Jennifer Ehle has been cast as the young student's hapless mother, Carla.

The casting of Dornan has not yet been officially confirmed by Universal or James, who has made previous announcements about the film on Twitter.

Jamie Dornan to play Christian Grey in 'Fifty Shades'

The former Calvin Klein model will be the kinky billionaire in the film based on E.L. James' novel.

Jamie Dornan has been chosen as the new Christian Grey for the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey, The Hollywood Reporter website is reporting on Wednesday. Variety and People also confirmed the casting of Dornan.

The Hollywood Reporter said that negotiations were now underway to finalize the deal.

There were no further details, but the trade publication has been claiming that Dornan has been a "frontrunner" since Charlie Hunnam backed out of the project on Oct. 14.

It further reported that Dornan did a screen test on Friday with actor Billy Magnussen.

Focus Features, the film's distributor, did not immediately comment on the report. Also, Fifty Shades of Grey author E. L. James, who has broken much of the casting news on her Twitter feed, continues to be mum about who might get the key role.

Dornan is a former Calvin Klein model who once dated Keira Knightley. The Northern Irish actor played Sheriff Graham on the first season of Once Upon a Time.

Dornan will join the cast as the kinky billionaire alongside Dakota Johnson, who has been cast as Anastasia Steele. Production is scheduled to begin Nov. 1.

The movie is due out Aug. 1, 2014.

Hunnam talks life post-50 Shades

Charlie Hunnam has opened up about what he is planning on doing after Sons Of Anarchy now that he has quit Fifty Shades Of Grey.

The Brit actor had been signed up to play Christian Grey in a film adaptation of the erotic novel alongside Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele, but recently confirmed he had quit the role.

He told E!: "I am doing good. I am just really concentrating on work. It's been a really busy time.

"I have had some family stuff going on, so I'm just trying to stay focused and stay positive and keep trying to do a good job at work and be with my family and stay positive."

Charlie's dad died in May, so he had returned to England to spend time with his family, and explained that when Sons Of Anarchy ended he hoped to head back to the UK again.

The actor, who plays Jax Teller in the biker series, said: "Like I said, I've got some family stuff I have to tend to. So when I wrap the show, I am going to go to England and see my people and then I have a film that I am doing with Guillermo [del Toro]. So I am going to go and do that and concentrate on the final seasons of Sons.

"It's obviously going to be a really emotional time for us. We are like a family and have become very, very close and become dear friends to each other so it's going to be sad to finish up and say goodbye to everyone, but we've got like 13, maybe even a few more, episodes."

Charlie also hinted there may be more to come for Sons Of Anarchy fans. "There's rumour that we might do a couple of more episodes and do a little bit of an extended season next year, so we will see if that happens. It may or it may not. But I just want to finish that strong and go on to a new chapter of life."

Scott Eastwood is the latest actor tipped to replace Charlie Hunnam in the Fifty Shades Of Grey film.

The newcomer, the son of Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood, is currently in the running for the coveted role of Christian Grey, reported Just Jared.

A source said: "He is one of five actors being considered."

Scott, 27, fuelled the rumours by tweeting: "What is all this talk about 50 shades of grey?? What do you all think?? Let me know. #hype #eastwoodlivin."

The actor made his debut in his dad's film Flags Of Our Fathers in 2006.

Colin Farrell has brushed off any interest in the role. The Irish star, who had been linked to the part, denied he would like to play Christian at the world premiere of Saving Mr Banks, saying: "No. I think that ship has sailed."

Sons Of Anarchy actor Charlie was due to star in the eagerly anticipated movie opposite Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele but dropped out earlier this month, citing his busy schedule for his exit. It was later reported that there had also been "creative conflicts" over the script.

The Fall star Jamie Dornan, True Blood's Alexander Skarsgard and Christian Cooke have also been tipped to be among the frontrunners for the Grey role.

The movie version of author EL James' erotic best-seller will be directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson.

Dakota Johnson Is ‘Having A Very Hard Time Dealing With The Press’

Dakota Johnson, who is slated to play Anna Steele in the upcoming movie, Fifty Shades Of Gray, is reportedly feeling the pressure as she prepares for her new lead role.

As was reported in the media recently Johnson’s co-star, Charlie Hunman, who was chosen for the role of Christian Gray, dropped out of the movie mainly due to the media attention he has received and will receive in the future.

A source told E! Online that: “Dakota is having a very hard time dealing with all the press. When she first got the role, it was way too much for her.”

The same source said that it was difficult for Johnson to go from being a virtual unknown to a star overnight. They said “it’s been tough” for Dakota Johnson.

Universal Pictures and Focus Features said in a joint statement about the Charlie Hunman drop-out from the movie, over the weekend:

“The filmmakers of Fifty Shades of Grey and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey.”

An insider told E! Online that Charlie Hunman felt that if he played the lead role in the new movie he would be forced to do lots of media appearances in the future:

“More than anything he hates attention and being in Fifty Shades of Grey would force him to do lots of media. That’s really not his thing. Charlie doesn’t want to be massively famous. Plus, he hates conforming and being told what to do. This role would force him to have to be something he is not,” they said.

It still remains to be seen who will be cast for the Christian Gray role in the upcoming movie as Universal Pictures look for an ideal co-star for Dakota Johnson.

'Fifty Shades Of Grey' Looking For New Lead As Charlie Hunnam Drops Out

Charlie Hunnam has decided to drop out of the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' film.

The British actor, 33, was set to play bondage-loving billionaire Christian Grey in Sam Taylor-Johnson's upcoming adaptation of the erotic novel but has decided he is too busy filming 'Sons of Anarchy' to "adequately prepare" for the role.

Universal Studios issued the following statement to Deadline.com: "The filmmakers of 'Fifty Shades of Grey' and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam's immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey."

The first film in the trilogy was due to begin filming next month.

Charlie's decision to pull out of the movie will come as a surprise to fans as he recently gushed about how excited he was to be cast in the blockbuster alongside Dakota Johnson.

He said: "As soon as we got in the room and started reading with Dakota, I knew that I definitely wanted to do it, because there was a tangible chemistry between us.

"It felt kind of exciting and fun and weird and compelling, and so that was it."

But Charlie also admitted that the movie's director Sam had a huge hand in getting him to take on the role and after speaking to her he "felt really intrigued and excited about it."

It was previously revealed that Ryan Gosling, Robert Pattinson and Shailene Woodley were among the high profile stars to turn down roles in the controversial movie.

Charlie Hunnam quits Fifty Shades of Grey

The hunt for Christian Grey is on for a second time in less than 6 months as Sons of Anarchy, Queer As Folk and Pacific Rim star Charlie Hunnam has exited the Fifty Shades of Grey movie due to scheduling conflicts.

It seems as though Charlie's commitments with smash hit TV series Sons of Anarchy were simply too much for him to juggle with preparation for the role. "The filmmakers of Fifty Shades Of Greyand Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead, given Hunnam's immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey", a statement released by film studio Universal earlier this evening read.

We're guessing that puts the gang in a bit of a pickle, but sure at least they've still got their Anastasia (Dakota Johnson) on board. We're sure she'll help them to find the perfect fella for the role.

Quite a few Fifty Shades fans were fairly critical of Charlie's casting though: They said he just wasn't the man they'd imagined sliding into Christian Grey's suits. We suppose they will be watching eagerly to see which fella steps up to take on the role now, especially given the fact that the film is still due for release in August 2014.
