'Fifty Shades of Grey' First Movie Poster Released!

Courtesy of Focus Features

Let the countdown begin! The movie version of ‘Fifty Shades’ is still more than a year away, but we have something new to drool over and whet our appetites: the movie’s first poster. Can we be anymore excited?

The first poster for the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey was released on Jan. 24, and it’s as sexy, suggestive, and mysterious as we’d hoped.

The poster shows Christian, played by Jamie Dornan, in his penthouse overlooking the city of Seattle. Everything looks just about right — the perfectly tailored suit, the expensive shoes, and the mysterious yet intriguing man in the middle wearing it all so well. *wipes drool*

The tagline is spot on — “Mr. Grey Will See You Now” — capturing the excitement and anticipation of Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) and making us feel the same exact thing.

The only thing we (fangirls) don’t like about the poster is “Valentine’s Day 2015,” which means we still have over a year until Fifty Shades is released. But assuming the next posters — and movie trailers — get more revealing, we should have plenty to hold us over.
What we know so far...

‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Will Be Steamy

But you know fans are chomping at the bit, especially because it sounds like the makers of Fifty Shades won’t be holding back at all — Jamie is even planning to go full frontal! *wipes drool again*

“Fifty Shades of Grey producers know they have to make the screen version just as steamy as the novel to make it a success,” a source told Star magazine. “They can’t turn it into a Disney movie.” So rejoice, all you book-lovers and of course the fan fic lovers that have followed this story since the beginning.

What do you think of the movie’s first poster? Is it what you envisioned?
