Music Monday – When Disney Goes Pop

I don't know why but for some reason I have had Disney songs on the brain. Maybe because I keep seeing "Let It Go" videos all over the place. So I figured what better way to get them out of my brain then to share them here with you. Enjoy some of my favorite Disney pop songs.

Usher  “You'll Be in My Heart” (from Tarzan)

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy  “I Wanna Be Like You” (from The Jungle Book)

Peabo Bryson & Celine Dion  “Beauty & the Beast”

Peabo Bryson & Regina Belle  “A Whole New World” (from Aladdin)

Rascal Flatts  “Life Is a Highway” (from Cars)

Christina Aguilera  “Reflection” (from Mulan)

98° & Stevie Wonder  “ True to Your Heart” (from Mulan)

Nsync  “When You Wish Upon a Star” (from Pinocchio)

Tevin Campbell  “Stand Out” / “I 2 I” (Just ‘cause I LOVE A Goofy Movie)

Vanessa Williams  “Colors of the Wind” (from Pocahontas)

Elton John  “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” (from The Lion King)

Billy Joel  “Why Should I Worry” (from Oliver & Company)

I know this last one isn't Disney but it has two of the best female pop singers ever.
Whitney Houston & Mariah Carey  “When You Believe” (from The Prince of Egypt)

So what is your favorite Disney pop song? Let me know below.

  1. I owned the soundtrack of Aladdin and Beauty & the Beast and loved all the songs. But te other songs I could think of was "Baby Mine" from Dumbo. It isn't an animated movie but still is Disney song "A Spoonful of Sugar" from Mary Poppins.

  2. you've already covered my favourites here, but being the huge fan that i am, i would like to point out that WEEZER did the opening song for cars 2 ("you might think" - http://youtu.be/KyT1_jEx6eY). it's great!

oh, and i also really love the end credit songs from pocahontas. "if i never knew you" by shanice and jon secada. it was going to be one of my wedding songs... if i had had a reception and dancing and stuff, which i did not. it's beautiful, and like most disney pop songs, lyrically powerful. http://youtu.be/zC9xrXKj-MA
