Take a Moment... for One Heart Source

www.oneheartsource.org

Hey My Fellow Readers!

So as you know, week to week I write about my favorite shows, one of them being the Sons of Anarchy. There's still a few months to go before we get to see them again, for their final season. So in the interim, I'm asking you all to take a moment and go over the important information below. One day I came across a post from Kim Coates ( aka. 'Tig') about a non-profit organization called One Heart Source (OHS), which his daughter is involved in.  So I decided to see what it was all about. I, like many others tend to get caught up in the day to day minutia, but I'm glad I paused my day to see what it was that one of my favorite characters is so passionate about.

Through the power of social media, I thought it would be a great platform to just take a moment, a moment to reflect and spread the word. So, all I'm asking is that you take a moment and read up on OHS. Please check out their website below, and their Hogs for Heart Charity Event coming up in October in LA. If your an SOA fan, this is one event you do NOT want to miss!! Check out the video below from last years event...!!

One Heart Source (OHS) is a non-profit organization designed to empower young people through education, and to provide high quality education and care for vulnerable children in Tanzania and South Africa.

The Many Sides of Jax

With writing for Season 7 well underway, this will be the final season for Sons of Anarchy. Before a new season begins I usually go back and re-watch the last one, but I'm not sure I can this final time around. Season 6 was a super charged emotional ride from start to finish, but it was the end that was hard to shake off. It wasn't just Tara's brutal death, but what the aftermath will be for Jax...losing his true North. I think next season will bring an entirely different side of Jax, one that's not pictured above!!

Happy Hump Day xoxo

SHOCK AND AWE...A Mother's Work

I came home last night, got comfy and settled, ready to watch the final episode of season 6 Sons of Anarchy. I did my best to not read any social media earlier in the day, but I knew something BIG was going to do down. And I thought I would be ready for whatever the ending was going to be...I was dead wrong. I turned the TV off, with tears in my eyes, and loathing for what I just witnessed.
I'm still in shock writing this. I feel so much hatred for the events that happened. I was so taken back and I feel like an emotional wreck. Driving to work today my friend called me to see if I had watched the final episode, and so we both ranted, as if we know these people personally, as if their not characters but real people. Hats off to you Mr. Sutter for being the KICK-ASS writer that you are!!
For those living under a rock the last few days, I'm sorry to inform you our beloved Tara is dead. The bitterness I feel is not just because she got killed, rather HOW she was murdered. All season we worried about Tara's safety, her motives, her feelings for Jax. There's a scene after Jax tells Tara he will never hurt her, and they're alone together, and without speaking their honest and raw love for one another comes out. Tara has been and will always be Jax's true love. I have never been more proud of Jax's decision to do the right thing, and turn himself in, and protect the love of his life and his children. To be a father and husband first over the club.
Of course there's always a twist. That leads us to dear ol' Gemma. Let me begin by saying that throughout the seasons, I've always been a Gemma fan...Not any more. I have pure hatred searing through my veins for her. Killing Tara in the most brutal and gruesome way, I hope she pays dearly for it next season. I hope they hang the bitch!!!!
This is the beginning of the end...with one more season to go, I hope Jax finds out the truth of what Gemma did to his wife, and to his own father. Most importantly, I hope he finds peace.

Say Goodbye To....Morrow

The end really is coming...Last night's episode of Sons of Anarchy proved that point undeniably. When I look back to their panel at Comic Con this past summer, I remember Ron Pearlman referencing that this season was all about redemption for his character. I do think that throughout the season we did see Clay Morrow try to redeem himself. Since the beginning Clay has always found a way to come out unscathed. However, last night, this was not the case.
A bullet to the neck, by the hand of his "son." A chest riddled with bullets for the man who was responsible for the death of Jax's father. An ex wife, who claims hatred for this man, stands 30 feet away, and watches her son kill him so brutally. And she never saw it coming.
There has been quite a few deaths of our beloved characters through the seasons; Piney, Otto, Opie (one of the hardest to watch), but seeing the end for Clay Morrow was EPIC. What does the future hold for SAMCRO? Its Teller-Morrow no more...

What's Their Fate?

Just one more day until the next episode of Sons of Anarchy. One could say that the fate of everyone is on the line. That being said, one of the hardest story lines to watch this season is about Tara. Has she really gone off the deep end? What are your thoughts? In the beginning I completely understood her desire to get her children away from Charming, away from the club. However, after seeing her last week, I saw something beyond hopelessness. Her master plan to escape completely unraveled before her, leaving her with no alternative. Watching Tara walk out of Patterson's office, I genuinely felt scared for her well being. She looked like she was seriously riding the crazy train. Of course she did just witness Jax in bed with that blond piece of old trash. AGAIN!!!!
Let me not dwell on that...Switching gears, the fate of the club relies on Jax's plan against the Irish. Will they ever be out of the gun business? Can they pull this off, and walk away unscathed...what do you think?

Truths

What a powerful episode of this week's Sons of Anarchy. I wanted to write about it sooner, but I had to digest it all. I think most viewers know that more than likely next season will be the last season in the series. For me this episode made a sharp turn in the series. It was all about the truth. There are so many twists and turns in each episode, lies and deceit to both hurt and protect the club. Watching Jax find out what Tara was doing, was painful to watch. I'll go into that further, but first I think what was most shocking was Gemma finally telling the truth about what happened to John Teller. The series began with Jax finding his fathers journal of his thoughts about what the club was supposed to be, what it became and his fears of his own life. As the series progressed we the fans found out the entire truth, but to finally hear Gemma admit it to Nero, to say it aloud was such a powerful moment. But will Gemma ever tell Jax, the one person who needs to know the full truth of what happened to his father. Now is the time for Gemma to make amends with her past, before Tara says it first.
And poor Tara, rocking her baby, with a gun on her lap...not knowing whats in store for her now that Jax knows the truth. Tara by far has gone way over the edge this season. While I understand her fierce desire to get her boys out of Charming, away from that lifestyle, lying about a pregnancy and staging a fake miscarriage is crossing the line by extremes. Jax hasn't always made the right choices, but no one can deny the love he has for Tara. Where does he go from that truth, that anger, that hurt?

Tara vs. Gemma

If you caught this week's SOA episode than your jaw may have dropped a little from Tara's performance with Gemma. Now I've read some posts, and people are pissed at Tara. People think she's gone too far. She's showing a side of her that we've never seen, and now people want to criticize her for it. We tend to get so attached to these characters, so when actions and behaviors start to shift it causes an uproar. And isn't that the point  - doesn't that make for a good show.
Tara has had a great mentor through the seasons, whether she wants to accept it or not. That stunt she pulled with Gemma, has Gemma written all over it. If she hadn't learned from the Queen herself how to play dirty to protect her family, she wouldn't have had the balls to do what she did.
Tara's been screwed over time and time again because of the decisions and actions of the club, and she's taken it. Now with the possibility of jail ahead of her, Tara did what any mother would do, she did what Gemma would do. Was I shocked, absolutely, was I pissed at her...no.
I guess I'll open it up and see what others thought about her fake pregnancy, and alleged altercation with her mother in law...

Hunnam talks life post-50 Shades

Charlie Hunnam has opened up about what he is planning on doing after Sons Of Anarchy now that he has quit Fifty Shades Of Grey.

The Brit actor had been signed up to play Christian Grey in a film adaptation of the erotic novel alongside Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele, but recently confirmed he had quit the role.
He told E!: "I am doing good. I am just really concentrating on work. It's been a really busy time.
"I have had some family stuff going on, so I'm just trying to stay focused and stay positive and keep trying to do a good job at work and be with my family and stay positive."
Charlie's dad died in May, so he had returned to England to spend time with his family, and explained that when Sons Of Anarchy ended he hoped to head back to the UK again.
The actor, who plays Jax Teller in the biker series, said: "Like I said, I've got some family stuff I have to tend to. So when I wrap the show, I am going to go to England and see my people and then I have a film that I am doing with Guillermo [del Toro]. So I am going to go and do that and concentrate on the final seasons of Sons.
"It's obviously going to be a really emotional time for us. We are like a family and have become very, very close and become dear friends to each other so it's going to be sad to finish up and say goodbye to everyone, but we've got like 13, maybe even a few more, episodes."
Charlie also hinted there may be more to come for Sons Of Anarchy fans. "There's rumour that we might do a couple of more episodes and do a little bit of an extended season next year, so we will see if that happens. It may or it may not. But I just want to finish that strong and go on to a new chapter of life."
