"Desolate" a truimph for Amy Miles!

                                                 Amy Miles Webpage

I was very eager to get this book because I read her "Arotas" series and loved it. I knew it would be a dark book, as the heroine Roseline in that series, is in this new one as well. This book is the first in a Prequel series. It goes more in depth into her past and the darkness that brought her to be, the person she is in Amy's "Arotas" series.

I loved Roseline, even though she goes through hell in this book, you can see how she develops and becomes stronger. I was on the edge of my seat with almost every page and I cried in a few places. My heart broke for her and I have learnt a lot about abusive relationships.

This book is very difficult to read, just because it delves deeply into the dark side of relationships. But you have to read it. Be ready for a lot of emotional upheaval and tears as this young, innocent girl undergoes torture, rape, betrayal and abuse but survives and learns to love.

I cannot recommend Amy Miles highly enough. I have read a few of her books now and I am never disappointed.
