Andrew Cosby will pen the script and exec produce alongside Jeff Okin, Gina Matthews and Grant Scharbo.
NBC is going supernatural with Andrew Cosby.
Strange Fiction, which stems from a spec script, blends humor, heart and horror and centers on a young book editor drawn into the world of the supernatural by a reclusive and quite possibly insane paranormal investigator. The network is developing Strange Fiction, a drama from the creator of Eureka, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Cosby will write and executive produce the Universal Television vehicle alongside Little Engine Productions' Gina Matthews and Grant Scharbo and Anonymous Content's Jeff Okin.
For Cosby, Strange Fiction comes a year after Syfy wrapped Colin Ferguson-starrer Eureka after five seasons. Repped by CAA, Anonymous Content and Stone Meyer, he most recently produced the feature2 Guns.
For Little Engine, the project comes after the banner produced Ashley Judd-starrer Missing for ABC and marks their second project at NBC. The company also has Mark Burnett event-series Plymouth set up at the network.
For its part, Anonymous' credits include features Winter's Bone, Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine, HBO's upcoming True Detectives and Cinemax's Quarry, among others.
