Chris Egan to Star in Syfy's 'Dominion'

Tom Wisdom, Alan Dale and Chris Egan

Syfy has set its core cast for Dominion.

Chris Egan, Tom Wisdom and Alan Dale will star in the drama pilot based on characters from 2010's feature film Legion, the network announced Friday.
From Universal Cable Productions, Dominion is described as a supernatural action drama set 25 years in the future after a war between an army of angels and mankind has transformed the world. The drama follows the journey of a rebellious young soldier who discovers he's the unlikely savior of humanity.
Egan (Kings) will play Alex Lannen, an orphan with a rebellious and protective streak. He's a grunt soldier in Michael's Archangel Corp but destined for more than his lowly classification in Vega's post-Extermination War society might indicate.
Wisdom (300) will play Michael, the greatest warrior of the archangels. Scarred from battle, he's instrumental in helping humanity defeat the angels during the Extermination War and is now entrenched in Vega, using his supernatural abilities to defend the city's inhabitants from enemy attacks.
Dale (The O.C., The Killing) will portray Rysen, the general who led the humans to victory against the angels during the Extermination War. He's the ruler of Vega, one of only four cities left standing after the war and now finds himself negotiating politics in the militarized city, helping maintain calm over its stratified society and keeping an eye on his daughter, Claire.
Legion co-writer/director Scott Stewart will direct the pilot and executive produce alongside Bold Films' Michel Litvak and David LancasterVaun Wilmott, who is also penning Syfy's miniseries development project Ringworld, will write and co-exec produce.
Egan (pilots Pretty/Handsome, Poe, Beauty and the Beast, Gothica) is repped by WME, Anonymous Content and Karl Austen; Wisdom is with UTA, Emptage Hallett and Affirmative Entertainment; and Dale is with APA and Management 360.
Syfy picked up the project to pilot in July as it looks to fill out its original scripted slate for 2014 with second season of Defiance and Ron Moore's Helix.
