Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards to wed in to 2014

The One Direction heart throb is engaged to Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards after proposing in August and his mum Trisha has revealed they are looking to tie the knot next year.

She told the BBC: "Perrie is a lovely girl and I get on really well with her.

"They're thinking of the end of next year, although no date has yet been set yet."

The singer, who is engaged to One Direction singer Zayn Malik, did not hold back on her thoughts regarding some 1D fans in a new interview with the Daily Mail, causing an all-out Twitterstorm.

Perrie Edwards Calls Out Directioners

Getting interviewed with her Little Mix band mates, Perrie was asked about how she deals with the haters — as Zayn’s fiancee, she clearly gets more than the rest of the group. And Perrie did not hold back:

You just learn to ignore the bad things, really, because the people who are slating you on the internet are probably massively overweight with hairy pits, smelling of B.O. Do you know what I mean? They’re doing it to make themselves feel better.

Ouch, tell us how you really feel, Perrie! To be fair, Perrie is clearly only talking about a small set of Directioners who have unfairly targeted her simply because she’s dating a 1D band member. It’s not like she’s calling all 1D’ers fat and stinky. And she’s really just making a point about cyber bullying in general. But her comments are harsh nonetheless.

One Direction’s Zayn Malik is engaged to Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards, the bride-to-be’s brother confirmed via Twitter.

“Right. My sister and Zayn ARE Engaged! It’s true!” Jonnie Edwards tweeted. “You seen the ring on the finger and all that Jazz! CONGRATS!!!”

Malik and Edwards, 20, hit the red carpet Tuesday night for the London premiere of the boy band’s documentary, “One Direction: This Is Us,” with Edwards flaunting the new engagement ring on her left hand.

Malik proposed last weekend after two years of dating, according to British newspaper The Mirror.

“It’s one of the first weekends they've spent with each other, as they’ve both been on tours with their bands. He wanted to wait for the perfect moment,” a source told the newspaper. “All her bandmates were at V Festival, and she couldn't wait to tell them. They’re all really excited for her, as the rest of One Direction are for Zayn.”
