‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ Taps Dylan Neal As Anastasia Steele’s Stepfather

Dylan Neal is the latest to join the cast of Universal Pictures and Focus Features’ bestselling Fifty Shades Of Grey. He’ll play Bob, Anastasia Steele’s (Dakota Johnson) stepfather and husband of Carla Adams (Jennifer Ehle). He begins shooting this week in Vancouver. Neal currently stars in Hallmark Channel’s Cedar Cove opposite Andie MacDowell.
He is also shooting the second season of The CW’s Arrow, in the recurring role of the villainous Dr. Anthony Ivo. Jamie Dornan has been set to play Christian Grey opposite Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele in the pic directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, which will hit theaters February 13, 2015. Universal has been busy rounding out the cast. Marcia Gay Harden was announced yesterday in the role of Christian Grey’s mother. Cast also includes Rita Ora as Christian’s sister Mia; Eloise Mumford as Kate, Anastasia’s BFF/roommate; Luke Grimes as Christian’s brother Elliot; Victor Rasuk as Anastasia’s friend José; Jennifer Ehle as Anastasia’s mother Carla; and Max Martini as Christian’s bodyguard Jason Taylor. Neal is repped by Lena Lees at Play Management, and Kim Callahan at Industry Entertainment. His Fifty Shades deal was handled by Darren Trattner and Marcy Morris of Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer Austen Mandelbaum Morris & Klein.
