'Nashville' Adds Charlie Bewley To Season 2 Cast

"Nashville" has added Charlie Bewley to its Season 2 cast.
The Huffington Post has confirmed TVLine's report that Bewley will play Trey, a potential new love interest for Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere). Bewley's character is described by TVLine as a charming and self-deprecating businessman. Look for him to recur on "Nashville" beginning in episode three. Bewley previously appeared as Galen Vaughn on "The Vampire Diaries."
Bewley joins a few new faces on "Nashville" Season 2. "Rules of Engagement" star Oliver Hudson has been cast as a potential new love interest for Rayna; Aubrey Peeples of "Sharknado" fame will recur as a reality competition contestant; and Chaley Rose will play Zoey, Scarlett's friend. Additionally, Season 1 players Chris Carmack and Lennon and Maisy Stella have been promoted to series regulars.
ABC boss Paul Lee said "Nashville" Season 2 will play up some soapy aspects. "I think they said to themselves they want to turn cards over more aggressively as they move through it," Lee said at the Television Critics Association Summer 2013 press tour. "You're starting to see Connie [Britton] really drive plot, which is something I know the showrunners really wanted to do, and you're going to see that next season."
"Nashville" Season 2 premieres Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
