MTV Video Music Awards 2013: A complete list of nominees

Here's what we do know: The 30th annual MTV Video Music Awards will be held at Brooklyn's Barclays Center tonight — the first major annual awards show to find a home in the borough.

Lady Gaga will open the VMAs to "Applause" — the lead single off her latest album "ARTPOP" — after being sidelined since February with a hip injury. It will be her first live performance of the track. Gaga said she spent the past year preparing her outfit for the evening.

In a historic return, Kanye West will tie Madonna for the most performances when he delivers his latest "Yeezus" single, "BLKKK SKKN HEAD." Both artists have performed at the popular awards show seven times.

Justin Timberlake will take the stage and will be the recipient of the highly-coveted Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, in recognition of his music videos. The "Suit and Tie" singer tied with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, with the most nominations, six each.

And here's what we are hoping — boy band lovers at least: that 'NSync will reunite for a performance as reports claimed last week.

Rumors swirled that Justin Timberlake would deliver a special performance alongside J.C. Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick. If true, it would be their first reunion since performing a Bee Gees medley at the 2003 Grammy Awards. 'NSync disbanded in 2002.
