Raine Thomas outdid herself again. "Meant for Her" Is friggin incredible. It can be read as a stand alone novel or as a wonderful follow on from "For Everly".
There is enough little references to "For Everly" in this book to be a wonderful spoil. However the new story, with awesome new characters that you can not help but fall head over heels in love with, is a treat that I CANNOT RAVE ABOUT ENOUGH!
You cannot help but root for the relationship to work even if it seems impossible. I laughed and cried, and laughed again. Sierra and Evan are such deep characters that you find yourself wanting to be their friends. In your mind you know they are incredible creations in Raine's head but your heart tells you to keep believing. That is, only when you give up the dream of being Sierra. I mean read this book and tell me you are NOT in lust with Evan and I will call you a lair to your face.
But then again there isn't a book written by Raine that I would NOT recommend highly. I call her my pusher! Her books are purely addictive. Do yourself a favour and get hooked yourself.
This week was a challenge for me. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to stick to athletes, go to TV personalities or if Movie actors would be my cup of tea. After careful consideration and many minutes of debate inside my own head, I finally decided. Why not combine a few? Well, if you can call Quidditch a sport that is. When falling into the world of Harry Potter, the players in the game would definitely qualify as the jocks of the wizarding world. So, even though some of these people may not have played, they all enjoyed to watch. And, they are all grown up. Some you may not even recognize! Welcome to Hogwarts!

Book Review This is the second book in "Jewels of Desire" series. I loved it. I enjoyed it even more, if that is at all possible, than "Diamond Duplicity" and that is saying a lot. the story moves quickly and it is hot in both action and sex. the characters are well written and I fell hard for both the leads in this book. I challenge you to read this and NOT do the same.
I was lucky enough to ask Ms. Loftis a couple of questions and here they are:
Debbie:
Why did you start writing Fantasy novels? What drew you to the genre?
Quinn:
It’s one of my favorite genres to read and when
I decided to try to do what I love, which is write, I decided I should do it in
a genre that I truly enjoy. I love the world building that comes in to play
when writing fantasy. I love the possibilities and they are so endless.
Debbie:
What was the first novel you remember reading and what did it make you feel?
Quinn:
A Wrinkle In Time, I was fascinated by the creativity it took to write such an
imaginative book. It was the book that made me want to be a writer.
Debbie:
How “real” do your characters become for you? Do they sometimes influence the
way your story goes?
Quinn:
My characters become like friends to me. I don't
see how they could not when an author spends so much time with them. I think
sometimes they almost become an extension of yourself. Yes sometimes knowing
what their personality is like will change the way a story goes.
Debbie:
Have you ever regretted something you did to a character? Do you feel bad when
a character gets hurt?
Quinn:
No on both accounts. I feel like in order for my
characters to grow and change and become the best versions of themselves that
they can be then they have to go through struggles, just as we do in real life.
We have to be refined by fire in order to come out stronger on the other side.
Debbie:
Do you plan each book in detail before you write it, or do you have a basic
outline and see where you go while writing it?
Quinn:
I generally write an outline (rough) after I'm about 30,000 words into a novel,
that's how long it usually takes me to know where the story is going. My
stories generally write themselves as I'm typing.

Book Review:
I really loved Quinn Loftis' "Grey Wolves Series" so I was rather excited to read this one, the first in this new spin off series. I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. I love the world she created and I love her characters, some old favourites, make an appearance in this book too. The story is never predictable and that is a great thing. Peri was one of my favourite characters from before and having a book with her as the lead, is a treat in itself. I don't want to post any spoilers but I can say this. I laughed and cried, panicked and cheered them on. I can recommend this book highly. I am also eager for the next one to come.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this book. Selah the lead character, is a professor on sabbatical, who goes to Africa to study sculptures of the female form. She is also secretly a writer of erotic fiction.
She has to stop over in Amsterdam and a strange meeting with a woman at the airport, gets her set up with a Dutch man called Gerhard, the woman's brother.
This is her first time being set up with someones brother. Even though she thinks it is strange, she contacts him and they go out a few times. As he doesn't make any moves on her, she thinks he is probably gay. However, as she is about to leave to spend six months in Accra, he tells her at the airport, that he is attracted to her. What now?
This book was gorgeously written and fun to read. It was sexy and sensual, funny and deep, emotional and yet realistic. You really need to read this book, if you are a fan of Adult romance.
The bonus is that you get to travel through Africa for free and get to see Elephants in this book. This is the third stand alone book in this series, so do yourself a favour and get "Geoducks are for Lovers" and "Ready to Fall" as well.
Daisy has a way to make you fall head over heels for her characters, but it was a FALL I loved taking. What's stopping you, get it now! You won't be sorry.
"21 Days" is the second book in Bethany's "A Time for Love Series". Her first one was "8 Weeks" and as I said in my blog post, I loved it. Imagine my excitement when I got the chance to read "21 Days".
TJ and Sasha are the lead characters in this book and neither one of them are the settling down kind. However when TJ moves in with Sasha while looking for a place of his own, they become aware of the raw chemistry between themselves.
Being friends for a long time, makes them decide to try the whole friends with "benefits" thing.
This is of course where the trouble starts. Can they stay just friends, or will it take 21 days for them to see they have more.
I really enjoyed this book and found it light reading, but with meat on the bones. I only have one complaint about this book. I really wish it was longer. I wanted more at the end.
If you are in the mood for a nice sweet romance, with a bit of heat, then this is definitely for you.
As everyone, who has read my posts have deduced, Raine Thomas is my book Pusher. I adore everything she produces and this series is no exception. I have two copies of her first book in the series, "The Return of the Ascendant", one in a compilation and the other one released on it's own. I LOVED it.
I have been dying to get anything about her next books and finally, I have something. The covers for the other two books in the series is released today, as well as the Book Trailer.
"The Ascendant Series", is a fantasy, new adult release and if the first book is anything to go by, it will be amazing.
The second book in the series is called "Rout of the Dem-Shyr" and will be released in July 2014. The third book is titled "Rise of the Faire-Amanti" and will be released in November 2014! Please note these dates are not set in stone, so keep your eyes on my posts for the confirmed dates.
I know it is an excruciatingly long wait, but it will be so worth it. Trust me on this.

This book is a wonderfully engrossing read. *Trigger Alert* the story does touch on spousal abuse and there are a few pieces in the book that could be a trigger. It is however, a well thought out storyline, that is realistic.
The tension is built beautifully and the character are real. There are some twists that keep you guessing and makes the story even more captivating.
There are quite a few awesomely raunchy bits that are really sexy. They know how to write a good love scene.
I look forward to the next book in this series. I am becoming a rather big fan of Ms. Lucke Dean.

It has the ingredients of many a page-turner: with teen love and tragedy, John Green’s novel “The Fault in Our Stars” has sold seven million copies and is set to make its film debut in June, starring new Hollywood darling Shailene Woodley. And to top it all off, the novel is the latest read for TODAY’s Book Club.
“The Fault in Our Stars” tells the story of 16-year-old Hazel Lancaster, a teen with incurable cancer who meets and falls in love with another patient. The tale was inspired by some of Green’s experiences working at a children’s hospital as a student chaplain.
“I was only 21. It was very difficult. I saw a lot of kids die,” Green told Willie Geist at his office in Indianapolis. “I spent time … with their parents. It was really difficult for me to be hopeful in that. It kept coming back to me. I kept wanting to write about it.”
Green finally did write about it after meeting Esther Earl, a 15-year-old fan battling cancer. She died a year later.
“Once I understood that a short life can also be a good life, it kind of became possible to write the story,” Green said.
This is the fifth novel for Green, 35, who is no stranger to tackling teen romance in the face of adversity. In addition to “The Fault in Our Stars,” his books “Looking for Alaska,” “Paper Towns” and “Will Grayson, Will Grayson” all debuted on the New York Times best-seller list.
And despite legions of screaming fans who follow him to book signings (Green “humble brags” he’s signed his name 150,000 times), the author says he’s still starstruck when it comes to the new film.
“At no point did I have a poker face,” he said about being on set. “The director would be debating, ‘Was this take better than this take?’ And I would just be, like, ‘Guys, let's calm down for a second and think about how awesome this is. Shailene Woodley is in our movie. This is awesome!”
It’s indeed awesome, particularly for a guy who considers himself a nerd and spreads the message that being a nerd is cool. Green connects with his young fans, dubbed “Nerdfighters,” via four video series, including one called the “Vlog Brothers,” in which he and his brother Hank cover everything from foreign affairs to goat mating.
“I want to celebrate intellectualism,” he said. “We only get to be here on this planet for a little while, and we have the chance to pay attention or we can choose to be distracted. And when we pay attention is when I think we're really fulfilled and happy and excited.”
Unless you have been living under a rock, you know that 'The Fault in Our Stars' tour is coming to several cities around the country to promote the movie. The book was fantastic the movie is slated to be amazing, I mean how could it not Shailene is starring in it as Hazel Grace.

Knowing each other from that other famous movie, {grins} did that help with the connection between you both on set, I mean working so closely with each other not on one, but two movies.

Ansel - Did you take anything away from playing Gus?
I know if I could sit down with Hazel and Gus what I would want to know, but alas Gus and Hazel are just the characters in this amazing story.

Forget — for just a moment — about summer’s spandex-clad superheroes and cities being destroyed by robots and monsters. The Fault in Our Stars, out June 6 and adapted from the 2012 best-selling John Green novel, stands to be the must-see love story of the season.
In this week’s Entertainment Weekly, Sara Vilkomerson reports from The Fault in Our Stars set in Pittsburgh and explores how TFIOS — which tells the love story of two teenagers who meet in a cancer support group — became an unlikely YA phenomenon. “I tried to write the funniest, most honest love story I could about these kids who were living with a difficult disease. I never thought it would be popular,” says Green. “I certainly never imagined it would be a movie.”
Luckily, one studio decided to take a chance on the project. Fox 2000 president Elizabeth Gabler remembers how producer Wyck Godfrey convinced her to make the film. “Wyck called me and said, ‘You can’t pass on this. You have to do this,” she says. “I said, ‘Why are you doing this to me?’ And he said, ‘Because. It makes you remember when you were a teenager and you were in love for the first time and you didn’t want to hang up the phone.’”
With a modest budget of $12 million, every piece of the TFIOS puzzle was carefully considered — from hiring director Josh Boone to casting rising stars Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort in the lead roles of Hazel and Augustus. Green, who was on set for just about every day of shooting, found the experience an unexpected pleasure. “Shailene has become Hazel to me. Ansel has become Gus,” he says. “The feeling I’ve had consistently is this deep weird joy.”

In the film adaptation that is based off of John Green's bestselling young adult novel we following the doomed love story of two teens.
According to Us Weekly, the novel has already obtained a band of loyal followers that are excited to see Woodley and Elgort shake off their hardcore "Divergent" characters and take on the roles of Hazel and Augustus respectively.
The extended trailer features flashes of several significant scenes from the book which includes the likes of Augustus explaining why he carries an unlit cigarette in his mouth, the couple's romantic date in Amsterdam and the egging of Isaac's ex-girlfriend's car.
From the new clip combined with the narration in which Hazel compared falling in love to falling asleep, slowly at first and then all at once, devoted fans of the book should be happy with the treat until the full length film hits theaters.
For fans who saw "Divergent" they will see Shailene Woodley take a step back from Tris to become a delicate flower or in Hazel's mind, a grenade. We will also see Ansel Elgort, who played her brother become her confident, charismatic boyfriend.

In between some rants and caveman talk, "Divergent" trilogy author Veronica Roth explained Sunday how she came up with the female protagonist of her dystopian coming-of-age novel.
Roth, 25, spoke at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books with Leigh Bardugo, whose books include "Shadow and Bone" and "Siege and Storm." Bardugo set the stage by explaining why young adult novels such as "Divergent" are such hits.
"That feeling never goes away of finding somewhere to belong," she said.
Borrowing from the five groups of people in Roth's books, here's a look at what Roth shared about her process, characters and message to young adult readers.
Amity (the peaceful): Four, the male partner-in-crime for Tris, was purposely well-balanced with the heroine.
"I didn't want one person's strength to require the sacrifice of the other," Roth said. "I think there can be two strong people but they have to be complicated people."
"I think it's important to show he's a human being, not just man candy." - Veronica Roth on Four
In that same vein, Four isn't a typical male. He respects Tris, respects women, Roth said, toning herself in a caveman voice. "That's appealing," she said.
At the core of her series, Roth said, is a reversal of the typical character arcs of males and females. Traditionally, female characters keep things, such as family, together. Male characters go through a journey of becoming a fully formed adult. Instead, in "Divergent," Tris is becoming her "fully realized self."
