‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 6: Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev heading to Comic-Con

The Vampire Diaries has long been a staple of Comic-Con, so you really cannot be surprised by the news that they will be returning yet again to San Diego.

So which cast members have been confirmed to be taking part right now? Think the major players that include Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, Kat Graham and Paul Wesley along with executive producer Julie Plec. More may end up being confirmed, but these are the people who are confirmed as of now. The stars of this show will be present on Saturday, July 26.

The appearance from the cast of The Vampire Diaries is something to be a particularly special gift for the fans, mostly because they really do more to get there than the majority of the maybe some other casts. Why? The cast is coming from Atlanta in the middle of production, and they are basically going there, doing some promotion for The CW, and then going right back to work on the East Coast. So be ready and welcoming, if you are lucky like we are to be attending this years Comic-Con.

It has already been confirmed that the new season of The Vampire Diaries will premiere on Thursday, October 2, and we also now know that both Somerhalder and Graham are going to be returning as series regulars. Therefore, there is no drama there, and the only real debate thanks to that is what is going to happen when it comes to the two of them. They are not exactly in the land of the living, and Damon and Bonnie will therefore how to find their way back.

Hottie of the Week.. The Suits Edition

I’ve been pouring through images in my head trying to decide who I wanted to put as Hottie this week since I wasn’t able to post last week. Of course, there are always previous Hottie’s to use or there are collages of Hotties. I couldn’t decide. So after thinking long and hard about it, I have decided to go with the first thing to pop in my head...suits. Who can resist a good looking man in a suit? Definitely not this girl. So here is my montage to Suits!

Nina Dobrev Helps Ex Ian Somerhalder's Dog Give Birth to Puppies—See the Cute Pics!

Romantic relationships come and go, but puppy love is forever.
So even though Ian Somerhalders ex Nina Dobrev is now dating Derek Hough, theVampire Diaries stars put up a united front when the actor's dog Nietzche went into labor!
Ian, 34, rescued Nietzche in early August after finding her in traffic near the Vampire Diaries' stages. Except, when he adopted this green-eyed girl, he was unaware that she was pregnant.
But, being the upstanding vampire gentleman he is, Ian was completely supportive when he learned in early October his little lady had eight puppies onboard. And when Ms. Nietzche went into labor on Tuesday, Oct. 8, he was right by her side.
Ian posted an Instagram photo of the mom-to-be, writing, "Our little Nietzsche girl is about to drop a ton of love into the world! please send super-positive energy to this very brave and very scared little girl."
He then posted a picture of himself cuddling up to his pup. "Live from the whelping box In Atlanta!Panting, pushing, contractions –Wow," he wrote. "Make no mistake about it-Ladies rule...Women of every species blow my mind...Incredible what mamas go through!Love to you mamas-all over the world.Jeez."

But Nietzche was a champion, and Nina—who had been on hand for support throughout Nietzsche's labor—posted a WhoSay photo of the proud, smiling new mom and her newborn puppies! "Birthing little Nietzsches ...Such a beautiful + equally terrifying thing to witness," she wrote, "The miracle of life :) #Wow."
Jeez, wow, whoa indeed—that's not all! Ian is now officially a grandpa (in the canine world) and he used Nietzche's unplanned pregnancy as an educational opportunity. "THIS ignites even more [the Ian Somerhalder Foundation's] vision and the absolute necessity to finish research and distribute SAFE species-specific oral sterilization drugs for dogs and cats," he wrote. "Lets put our heads together and end OVER POPULATION OF THESE INCREDIBLE ANIMALS! Thank you!"
No, no, thank you Mr. Somerhalder. And everyone else, yes, please help control the pet population. Have your pets spayed or neutered!

Fall TV’s Hottest Couples: ‘Vampire Diaries,’ ‘Pretty Little Liars’ & More

Can you believe it’s September already? It’s almost time for the return of our favorite fall TV shows — which means it’s also almost time to start shipping our favorite fall TV couples! HollywoodLife.com did a sweep of the Fall 2013 TV schedule and plucked out the 20 couples we’re most excited to root for once again.

‘The Vampire Diaries’

If you thought Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) would be the only ones knocking boots in Mystic Falls this season, think again! The latest promo for The Vampire Diaries reveals sparks between Katherine and Silas (Paul Wesley) — who everyone thinks is Stefan. Now that would be an awkward double date.

‘Pretty Little Liars’

ABC Family’s twisted, addictive drama is only on for one hour this fall — the Halloween special airs Oct. 22 — but we’re confident it’ll squeeze as much relationship drama into that one installment as possible. That’s why we’re eager to see how Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Paige (Lindsey Shaw); Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Toby (Keegan Allen); and Aria (Lucy Hale) and Ezra (Ian Harding) fare by the end of the evening. We’re especially keeping our eye on the last pair!

‘Glee’

Even without ‘Finchel’ to swoon over, Glee still has plenty of couples worthy of our attention. Not only will season five usher in a relationship between new-girl Dani (Demi Lovato) and Santana (Naya Rivera), but things are also looking up for Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss)! And let’s not forget about Marley (Melissa Benoist) and Jake (Jacob Artist). Ah, freshman love.

‘Awkward’

While Jake (Brett Davern) and Tamara (Jillian Rose Reed) may be going strong, Awkward‘s main duo — Jenna (Ashley Rickards) and Matty (Beau Mirchoff) — are headed for heartbreak. And it’s all Jenna’s fault!

‘Grey’s Anatomy’

Someone’s fate may be hanging in the balance when Grey’s Anatomy returns for its tenth season, but one thing we can always count on is the love between Derek (Patrick Dempsey) and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo). MerDer forever!

‘Once Upon A Time’

ABC’s fantasy drama is so full of potential ships, it’s literally putting its main characters on a ship this season! But as the gang sets sail for Neverland, only one Once Upon A Time couple is actually in tact — Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Charming (Josh Dallas)!

‘Once Upon A Time In Wonderland’

Considering how quickly we fell in love with Snow and Charming on Once Upon A Time, we’re sure we’ll quickly become obsessed with Alice (Sophie Lowe) and Cyrus (Peter Gadiot) on its spin-off, Once Upon A Time In Wonderland.

‘Scandal’

They may not have the most ‘conventional’ relationship, but the heat between Olivia (Kerry Washington) and Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) is undeniable.

‘Arrow’

Starling City may be basically demolished after last season’s cinematic Arrow finale, but one thing is standing strong: Roy (Colton Haynes) and Thea’s (Willa Holland) relationship! Those two… so hot.

‘New Girl’

Now that Nick (Jake Johnson) and Jess (Zooey Deschanel) have finally done it — and by “it,” we mean it – we can’t wait to see how their relationship will unfold. With any luck, it’ll be equal parts disastrous and hilarious.

‘Beauty & The Beast’

We loved watching Vincent (Jay Ryan) and Catherine (Kristin Kreuk) build their relationship on the first season of Beauty & The Beast; we can’t even imagine what season two could have in store for the hot-and-heavy pair!

‘Nikita’

The final six episodes of The CW’s action-thriller are fast approaching, and we’re dying to see how things end for Nikita (Maggie Q) and Michael (Shane West), one of the most dynamic couples on TV right now.

‘Castle’

We come for the mysteries, but we stay for the relationship between Beckett (Stana Katic) and Castle (Nathan Fillion). And, seriously, how snazzy do they both look in those new promo shots?!

‘Bones’

Fact: Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) are one of the most adorable couples on TV right now — and they’ve even got a super-adorable baby to prove it.

Who doesn't have a crush on Ian Somerhalder?

With looks that can kill and the rumor mill going wild with hopes that Ian will be playing Christian Grey we were happy to catch Mr. Somerhalder standing still in New Jersey.
