Mystic Falls at Twilight Girls Getaway

What an amazing weekend! I am just now fully recovered from the awesome experience that we had in Gatlinburg, Tennessee! In our second event, Mystic Falls at Twilight Girls Getaway, we once again welcomed fans and friends alike to the beauties that are the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee.

Music Monday – Sam Bradley

The only way to brighten a Manic Monday is with music. So I thought I would share with you all one of my favorite singers/songwriters, SamBradley.  

I discovered Sam about 4 years ago in the summer of 2010. Even though I was a little tiny bit drunk by the time he hit the stage,  as soon as he began to sing I was hooked. There is just something about this man performing on stage that commands your attention.  I could go on and on about how great and what a wonderfully talented person he is but I think I will let you hear for yourselves.  Here are some of my favorite songs by him:

Sam is currently in the studio working on new music in his hometown of London, England – but what he needs to do is go on tour in the USA because he is greatly missed over here!

"Castle's" Stana Katic Attends the 2014 Film International Spirit Awards

Better late than never was the sentiment of the night as fans on the blue carpet and on twitter not so patiently waited the arrival of Stana Katic.

Stana's date for the evening was her mother, who beamed on from the carpet with palpable pride for her little girl. 

Stana was a vision in a blue gown by Yigal Azrouel. 

Stana has always been a champion of experimental and independent film. Her 2011 film "For Lovers Only" was labeled as an 'experimental film' to wave Stana's SAG fee. Stana believed in the message of Mark Polish's vision enough to complete the 12 day shoot providing her own wardrobe, all unpaid. "A lot of the riskier stories are being told by the independent film world, and I love that!"

Stana completed her night by attending the ultra private Night Before Party at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Stana's rushed arrival lead to the only downside of the evening. After making sure she made time for fans, the photographers for the event felt unsatisfied by her time on the carpet and began to boo her, with one sole member shouting out to, "Leave her alone!" Not only did this show their level of classlessness, but it also showed how unfeeling the majority of those in the profession are. I am not alone in my feelings or opinions of distaste for their behavior. To show such disrespect for not only her in that moment, but to do it in front of her mother was deplorable. Stana continued to be the epitome of grace, as she returned to the photo line to satisfy those who jeered her, though her brilliant smile was noticeably diminished. 

On a much brighter note, there are hopes that Stana will attend the Academy awards tonight.  Fingers crossed! 

Is Rumple Really Gone?

Previews can be so misleading. Scenes are shown out of context to create the illusion of one thing, when in fact it could be something else entirely.

Back in December, fans of the ABC series “Once Upon A Time” saw the shocking disappearance of Rumple with the Dark One’s dagger embedded somewhere in his flesh skewering him to his ultimate nemesis – his dear old dad.

Speaking as a huge Rumple fan, I for one can’t imagine “Once” without him and if we are going to kill someone off that could drive a lot of character movement, I am voting for Neal.  He has served his purpose by revealing that Rumple could be selfless and honestly, Neal for all his talk did worse things than his father did like abandon Emma.  At least, Rumple never pretended.

Rumple appears to be gone in the previews that have teased us for months except for one brief glimpse along with the voice over that someone “will die.” This, I am sure is done with great purpose because I have a feeling we haven’t seen the last of him.
