Eric Northmam..Is Sex On a Throne

Welcome back Eric....What a great episode last night. And Ginger said it best, "Eric Northman...is sex on a throne. " I'm not gonna disagree with that. He may be sick, but he still has that look that will make ya all warm and fuzzy inside. Speaking of, he kinda got that look when he saw Sookie. And there's no denying, Sookie was feeling it too. It was such a beautifully tender moment between them. The sort of moment that makes you reminisce about when they were briefly together. I know Bill was her first love, but there is no disputing their unspoken chemistry. It was the first time all season that we've seen some genuine emotion from Sookie.

In other True Blood news, it was awesome to see some of the old beloved characters back, like Terry and Hoyt. It was such an emotional episode, from Jessica starving herself, Arlene close to deaths door and making those gut wrenching calls to Hoyt and Alcide's dad. On a positive note,  no deaths unless you want to count the Hep-V vamps. They suck though, so it really didn't matter.
Let's just hope someone will come up with a cure to save Eric.

Hookah Please

" Ring, ring hookah! Ring, Ring!" So who is gonna miss the hell out of True Blood's Lafayette? If you've read the books than you know Lafayette gets killed off early on in the second book, but because of the popularity of his character they decided to keep him on the series. Good call on that one! I can't imagine True Blood without him.

I LOVE Lafayette, hands down he's one of my favorite characters ever! He delivers the best lines, I'm always eagerly anticipating what he's going to say.  He's tough and yet has the longest lashes and most makeup of anyone on the show, and he can rock a pair of gold pants like no other. Lafayette is just one of those characters you will always remember...I am probably going to miss him the most, as the series is coming to an end.

Say Goodbye to Our Favorite Wolf

It's not real, Alcide isn't dead. Our HOT wolf with his smouldering eyes, gorgeous physique, and genuine sincerity is gone? Another True Blood shocker last night, as we lose another beloved character and the season just began. First Tara, now Alcide!!! I didn't want to believe it, but there's no coming back from that.

So I guess the good guy doesn't get the girl! Instead he winds up dead trying to protect her. I feel like this final season of True Blood is taking on Game of Thrones like undertones, don't get attached to anyone. The problem with that is we've been so attached to these characters season after season. When Alcide first came on screen he sure gave Eric a run for his money, if you happen to like the tall, dark and chiseled type. From the beginning, Alcide never had an agenda, and he was honestly just a really good guy. Even when his character got a little dark he still ended up doing the right thing, and being the better person. Then he finally gets the girl, and not just any girl but Sookie. (That should have been our first clue, that no good can come from that).

If only Sookie had listened to him when he suggested they keep driving, away from Bon Temps, but that would never be a realistic option. Not where Sookie is concerned. Always in the middle of the chaos is where you'll find Sookie. Last night was no different, asking Bill to help her in one of her ridiculous and dangerous plans. Even admitting to Bill that while she loves Alcide, she feels he loves her more, and wishing he'd love her a little less. Really, Sookie!!!??? I was pretty pissed off about that, knowing he's coming to save her...then shots ring out, and Alcide goes down for good. I pretty much stopped paying attention after that, because denial set in. 

Good bye Alcide, you will be missed...

True Blood newcomer sinks teeth into new role

True Blood might be in the death throes of its final season *wipes a tear away*, but fans are still meeting new faces.

And yes I know that, our awesome @BellaDonna_FN covers True Blood, but I couldn't help but want to know more about this new comer to our show. Who I am obsessed with on The Originals as a very sexy wolf. 

Adelaide-born, US-raised actor Nathan Parsons was thrilled to join HBO's camp, raunchy and over-the-top vampire drama, set in a sleepy Louisiana town.

"It's such a thrill for me," he said.

"I remember watching this show seven years ago and it was like nothing else on TV," Parsons told The Guide.

"To be a part of it is really, really amazing."

The 26-year-old has taken over the role of James, Jessica's new love interest whom she met at "vamp camp" last season, from Luke Grimes.

"The character of James wasn't that well established in season six," Parsons said.

"You sort of met him but you didn't get his story. It is odd taking someone's part, but he was such a small character in season six now I think we can go a totally different direction with it and I think we will be forgiven."

The recent season seven premiere gave viewers a greater insight into James when he opened up to Lafayette about how he became a vampire. From his first day on set, True Blood star and director Stephen Moyer (Vampire Bill) took Parsons under his wing.

"He taught me how to be a vampire in this world," he said.

"Every vampire show has different rules and different ways of doing things.

"It was good to have Stephen there to say 'okay when your fangs click out this is how I do it, this is what you need to think about'. I got tips on being a vampire from Vampire Bill himself."

Parsons is best known for his role as Jackson in The Originals, which follows the original vampire family from The Vampire Diaries as they return and settle in New Orleans.

"The Originals has its own mythology which is similar (to True Blood) but different. I play a werewolf on The Originals so I get both sides of the coin, which is really fun," he said.

His introduction to the complex web of True Blood characters was also made easier by his friendship with Deborah Ann Woll, who plays flame-haired vampire Jessica.

"We went to college together so it was really comfortable to just step in," he said.

The cast has spent the past seven months filming the show's final season and Parsons said there was a lot to squeeze into 10 episodes.

"So much happens so quickly it sort of takes your breath away," he said.

"This is how True Blood works.

"You get on the show and you're thrust into the blood, sex and violence."

The final season sees the residents of Bon Temps - human, vampire and otherwise - dealing with the fallout of the Hep-V vampires' attack on the human-vampire mixer at Bellefleur's and the possibility of another attack.

Jessica's continued vow to protect Sheriff Andy's fairy daughter Adilyn has kept her and James apart, but it is hoped they will reunite.

The Question Is, Who Hasn't Been With Sookie?

Who says you can't have it all! And our beloved Sookie Stackhouse on True Blood has had plenty...of hot men that is! Who hasn't she hooked up with on the show? Each one better looking than the next! 

We all know it started with a certain Mr. Bill Compton. One of the biggest draws for her, besides him being the first vamp in Bon Temps, was that she couldn't hear his thoughts. One of the most asked questions throughout the entire series was asked of Sookie time and time again, "What are you?" She definitely was not just your typical Merlotte's waitress, but it wasn't until season 3 that we learned about Sookie's true faerie nature. Maybe it’s the faerie blood or maybe a centuries old contract, but whatever the reason, "Sookie is MINE," was quite the common sentiment.

So take a deep breath and let's take a look back at Sookie's Suitors!!

In a recent interview, the actor behind the wolf pack teased Alcide Hervaux’s pending death on the final season of True Blood.

“I think it creates a sense of urgency and electricity to the season that anybody could go at any time,” Joe said on Watch What Happens Live on June 23. “No one is safe.”

Is Alcide Really Being Killed Off?

So is Joe just teasing us, or is Alcide the unsafe one, this time around?

“In the books they have Alcide Hervaux still alive, but the books and the show have not always been the same, and this season will prove that point on multiple occasions with one of the big things being Alcide being killed,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “The show is going to be pretty crazy this season and there [are] going to be several significant deaths happening.”

Even more deaths, after Tara? and Alcide?! Put a stake in us.

Even more shocking? Bon Temps hasn't caught wind of Joe’s departure yet — if Alcide is indeed dead, the news will be just as big of a surprise to Joe’s cast mates, as it was to us.

“They have filmed stuff with Joe afterwards and have done multiple endings to that death scene,” the insider adds. “So many people in the cast and crew think he is still alive.”

REVIEW: HBO’s The Leftovers

HBO’s The Leftovers is the feel-good series of the summer, if your summer revolves around root canals or being trapped on a eight week cross country trip with the entire family in a Volkswagen.

It’s pretty grim stuff — but quite engrossing and worth your time, thanks to intense performances by Justin Theroux and Christopher Eccleston, and the way creators Tom Perrotta, who wrote the book on which the series is based, and Damon Lindelof, best known for screwing up the end of “Lost,” unflinchingly tackle the nature of grief and the limits of faith.

Can you call it an apocalypse if you are still among the "living"? It’s three years after what has been termed the Sudden Departure, when 2 percent of the world’s population — Christians, Jews, Muslims, straight, gay, white, black, brown, and Gary Busey — suddenly disappeared.

Of the leftovers, some are trying to return to normal, some have turned their backs on religion, and others have turned to cults to assign some sort of meaning to the Sudden Departure — because what may be scariest of all is that there was no meaning.

Is It All a Dream...True Blood Style

So I bet the first few minutes of last night’s True Blood episode left you a little hot and bothered. We've seen it before, vivid sex dreams throughout the seasons. There was Jason with Warlow and Sam with Bill. To that point, last nights’ Jason & Eric dream tops the charts. I'm happy with any sex dream that involves Eric.

So our favorite Viking and our loveable dimwit share some erotic (I mean tender) moments under the dim lighting, music playing, in what appeared to be a Spanish villa, somewhere. Shirts off, six packs out, kissing...then Jason wakes up in a church of all places! Dream over and back to reality...but not before he hits his head, and sneaks a peak at his crotch.

The remainder of the episode was filled with despair as we see the havoc that the Hep-V vamps are causing everywhere. An entire town gone, with no help coming, it looks pretty bleak for the residents of Bon Temps. In their search to find some answers, Sookie stumbles upon a diary of a girl, the dead girl they found in the woods. The diary reads like a retelling of a story all too familiar for Sookie. Girl meets vampire, girls falls in love with vampire, and the world starts crumpling around her. Cue the flashback to season 1, when she talks Bill into taking her to Fangtasia. It was bittersweet to see them together back then, and I'm glad they included that in the episode.

Speaking of Fangtasia, that is where Arlene, Holly and Nicole, among others are being held captive. Arlene desperate to get them free recognizes one of the infected vamps as her child's former teacher and uses that to convince her to let them go. Mission accomplished - or so we think. One quick feed from Arlene before she frees them, but then she just dissolves into a puddle of black vamp goo. The big question here is why? Conclusion, the humans are still screwed!

So its starts out with an erotic sex dream, then a whole lot of depressing events, followed up by Eric...Eric with the tell-tale signs of Hep-V veins peeking out from his shirt. 

I felt a little emotionally drained after last night’s episode, what did you think?

A Look Back...Tara Mae Thornton

As our fangtastic series True Blood is coming to an end, I thought it would be cool to go back and reminisce about some of our most beloved characters. Since this week we lost Tara, I thought it was only right to remember Sookie's best friend.

I think what I like most about Tara was her candidness. Tara never minced words, and she would be the first to tell you exactly how she felt. Holding back what she thought was not quite her strong suit. Tara was also fiercely protective of those she cared about, even if it meant losing her own life as a human. Tara's story is a sad one, raised by an abusive mother, and equally neglected. She lost the love of her life, and she became what she loathed, she even died twice, (even though that's up for debate). But beyond that tough exterior, she was just a girl who wanted to be loved. Tara was defensive and insecure, and equally feisty and a fighter. She struggled with what she became, but she learned to embrace it. Tara was a very complex character.

Below are some of my favorite Tara moments.
Season 1:
"Oh, this aint rude. This is upitty. THAT'S FOR PATTIN' MY ASS TO MUCH! IMA GET MY BABY DADDY, WHO JUST GOT OUTTA PRISON, TO COME KICK YOUR TEETH IN!" And this is our introduction to Tara!!!

Season 2:
Season 2 brought that crazy Maenad Maryann who caused havoc in Bon Temps. We also got to meet Eggs (Benedict) who became Tara's love interest.

Season 3:

Tara depressed over the death of Eggs, took brief comfort in the arms and fangs of the psychopathic vampire Franklin.

Season 4:

In the beginning of the season we find Tara in Nawlins under the alias Tony, cage fighting with her girlfriend Naomi. As soon as she finds out Sookie has returned to Bon Temps,she does as well, only to find herself in another mess, this time with the witches. In a season finale shocker Tara takes a bullet for Sookie...ending her human life.

Season 5:

Tara becomes what she hates the most, a vampire. Pam is Tara's maker and saves her from killing herself, and teaches her how to feed. Tara struggled this season trying to adapt to what she has become.

Season 6:

Tara and Eric turn themselves in when Pam is captured and taken to Vamp Camp. In this season,Tara is starting to get comfortable with what she is now. In the last episode, Pam leaves to find Eric, leaving Tara to look after the newest vamp Willa.

Season 7:

Two minutes into the first episode and Tara is (supposedly) a pile of vampire goo. What a way to start the season. I think its important to point out we never do actually see Tara die in the fight scene with the Hep-V infected vamps. Will we see her again perhaps, I guess we have to wait and see!

We LOVE you Tara!!! And you will be missed. Always a fighter to the very end...

The Beginning of the End...True Blood

Without a doubt, True Blood has always been one of my favorite shows. Its sad and bittersweet that this is the end of the series. There was much anticipation for last nights premier. And it did NOT disappoint!!! The episode catered to the the human/vampire survival pairing thing,  “For every human a vampire. For every vampire a human.” With infected vamps causing chaos from the big cities to the small towns like Bon Temps, its not safe for anyone.

With a vicious attack from the Hep V-infected vamps, there were deaths and kidnapping right from the start (Arlene, Holly, and a very pregnant Nicole, to name a few). Nice way to kick off the new season. Then...wait, what??!! Tara's dead?? Without witnessing the death itself, we see her mother Lettie Mae covered in dead vamp goo...ie, Tara!!! Tara and her mother have always had a turbulent relationship, but the end of season six, Lettie Mae is begging Tara to drink from her, so she can finally nourish her. Tara does, and there's a reconciliation, an acceptance starting to formulate...then, we lose her...

I've read several articles that all say the same thing....no one is convinced Tara is dead. What do you think? Will we be seeing Tara again?
I guess we just have to wait and see...so in the interim, I thought I'd share some of Tara's most memorable quotes....

Game of Thrones: As the Death Toll Rises

After the much anticipated season finale of Game of Thrones, we are left with a trail of dead bodies. We've lost quite a few important characters consistently since the beginning of the season. Last night's episode did not hold back, losing 4 more characters. Again, I'm reminded to not get attached to any characters. I think throughout the season we've been shocked, overjoyed, and saddened; some taken too soon, and others a blessing they're gone.

So now we must endure 10 months of waiting to see what will happen to Arya, and her journey to Bravos, or will Littlefinger continue to be really creepy and what are his plans for Sansa? What will happen to Khaleesi and her dragons and will Drogon come back to the Mother of Dragons? What will become of the Nights Watch, now that Stannis' men have come to aid them in the battle with the Wildlings? And where is the ship headed with Tyrion inside, what will his fate be? So many questions....

So instead of pondering what will happen, because that's just agonizing, I'd like to remember those beloved (and not so beloved) characters we lost this season. So below is my top 10 deaths from Season 4! Enjoy!

10. Grenn - Grenn was a recurring character in all four seasons of GoT. He was a member of the Nights Watch, and trained along side Jon Snow. In the Battle at the wall, he died defending the gate, but not before killing the giant....Kudos to your bravery Grenn!

9. Jojen - Totally unexpected, was the death of Jojen Reed. In the search for the three eyed raven, Jojen meets his death as the group is attacked by wights (skeletons with axes and swords). Jojen, severely hurt and dying, urges his sister to leave him, and before running to safety she slits his throat. 

8. Ser Dontos - We first met Ser Dontos is the second season, as Sansa saves him from Joffrey's evil request to have him drink himself to death, literally. Instead he makes him the court fool. Then in season 4, Ser Dontos finds Sansa, and gives her a necklace strung with seven amethysts, which he tells her is a family heirloom worn by his mother and grandmother. Little did we know what was really in those stones. But Dontos was a fool to think that he would be safe, and so Littlefinger killed him, collateral damage and such.

7. Ygritte - The feisty red-head, in love with Jon Snow, ready to kill him for breaking her heart. I'm not sure she could have done it. Yes, she had put 3 arrows into Jon before, but none of them killed him, and she was fairly a good shot. I believe he truly loved her too, the way he held her as she died in his arms. "You know nothing Jon Snow."

6. Shae - Not much to say besides I'm happy she's dead. I'm even happier that it was Tyrion who did it. I never liked her, and she always seemed like she was up to no good. After her false testimony at Tryion's trial, I completely lost all respect (what little there was) for her.

5. Lysa Arryn - In love with Littlefinger, and jealous of her sister Catelyn, she was an unstable character. And in one quick moment, the game changed again, "What wife would do the things I've done for you? What wife would trust you the way I trusted you? When you gave me those drops and told me to pour them into Jon's wine. My husband's wine. And you told me to write a letter to Cat telling her it was the Lannisters..." Enough said...oh yea, and her beloved pushing her through the Moon Door to her death, was so gratifying. 

4.The Hound - I am so sad to see the Hound go, I truly loved his character. He was feared and brutal and raw, but we got to see a soft side of him with Arya, and he became endearing. I loved their chemistry together, and seeing their interaction with each other will definitely be missed. 

3. Tywin Lannister  - I didn't see that one coming, and on the toilet no less. What a way to go. And as with Shae, it had to come from Tyrion. Essential Tyrion has nothing to lose, he's lost everything, but he does have control over the fate of his father in that one moment. And he seized that moment.

So we're down to the last 2 characters, and I struggled with who to put as number 1. On one hand there's the most hated character, and on the other hand a character so beloved, and gone too soon. So here goes...

2. The Red Viper, Prince Oberyn - I have never fallen for a Game of Thrones character so quickly, that was mistake number one, don't get attached! With the start of the season he made his grand entrance, he made his intentions known, he was charismatic, and dangerous. Mistake number 2, don't get super attached. I thought for sure he would make it to next season...but no, within a second of hesitation it was over. I, like many just sat there, shocked...thinking I didn't see what I just saw...not possible! Oh my dear Prince Oberyn, you will be missed. 

1. King Joffrey  - The best, most deserving death EVER! He truly was one the most hated characters. He tormented and tortured, he was sadistic, and foul, and it is a far better place without that piss-ass! All Hail the Death of King Joffrey!!!!

So, in all we lost some great characters, and will not mourn some of the others. I think it'll be safer to dislike everyone going into season 5, that way its a little less gut-wrenching when the good ones go. 

The Watchers on the Wall: Game of Thrones Recap

With only one more episode left and way too many plot-lines hanging in the balance, which (if any) will get some resolution next week? I think most people are curious to see what Tyrion's fate will be, and if he can find some way to keep his head. With so much going on with everyone, it'll be interesting how they'll end the season next week. What jaw dropping moment will leave us reeling, and having to wait another year to see what happens next.
Last night the death toll increased with the long awaited battle on the Wall. In the episode, aptly titled, "The Watchers on the Wall," the battle between the Night's Watch and Mance Rayder's men, wildlings and giants finally erupted. With many lives lost on both sides, the most memorable was the fierce red head Ygritte. As Jon and Ygritte came face to face, it was inevitable that one of them would not be walking away.

It wasn't Jon's arrow or sword that did it either, but Olly — the newly appointed elevator boy orphaned in a recent wildling attack on his village. He shot that arrow that sent Ygritte to her knees. It was bittersweet, as Jon held her, her final words were, “We should’ve stayed in the cave,” she tells him, and lastly, “You know nothing, Jon Snow.”

Though the episode did not quite end in victory, the wildlings will be back, and the safety of the Castle Black is in jeopardy.

So what are everyone's projections for next weeks episode?

Pillar & Stones: Game of Thrones Recap

 

A show that makes you laugh,cry, makes you sit ramrod straight on your couch looking for the rewind button, not so much to view it again but looking for a do-over (because you're in shock of what just happened)...that's the definition of a GREAT show...that's Game of Thrones.

Last nights episode was nothing short of amazing. Well up until the last 2 minutes anyways. I love the Stark girls, each for different reasons. As Arya has always held her own, now Sansa is finally learning how to play the game. Arya and the Hound arrive at the Vale, only to find out that her aunt Lysa is dead. Just 3 days shy of selling little Arya to her aunt, and much to Arya's surprise...she laughs, and laughs, and laughs...Have I mentioned how much I love her!! Meanwhile, unbeknown to Arya, her sister Sansa is so close, yet so far away. Will they ever reunite? What would Arya find if she did see her sister..surely not the whiny little girl that had puppy love eyes for Joffrey. I think Littlefinger is leaving his mark on her. We lastly see Sansa transformed into the Lady of the Vale, while Creepy McCreepster, I mean Littlefinger, takes her all in like she's dinner!

All Hail the Sheriff of Area 5

With the premier of the 7th and (sadly) final season of True Blood, just a few weeks away, I felt compelled to pay homage to my favorite sheriff in Louisiana. Granted, I know he isn't sheriff anymore, but wouldn't it be perfect to see him back where he belongs.

We all know how the season ended, with a beautiful naked Eric, reading...if you missed it, I said naked. He was very, very naked, and I think there was some snow and a mountain too.

Warlow dies (thank goodness), but with him goes the power for vampires to walk in the daylight without burning. Did Eric find a way to survive, or did he die? My guess is that Season 7 wouldn't be complete without Mr. Northman's good looks and quick wit. In a perfect ending I envision Sookie with Eric. They've always had this electric kind of chemistry, and as much as Sookie has despised Eric in the past, she also had a way of bringing out the good in him. My favorite Eric was Season 4 "Good Eric." He had such an endearing nature about him, and lets face it...the Sookie/Eric interaction was HOT...!!! Here's one of my favorite Eric quotes..., "You're going to invite me in so I can protect you. Or have passionate, primal sex with you. Or how about both?"




So fellow Trubies, what are you most looking forward to in this final season with our beloved vamps, faeries, shifters,wolves, witches and Jason?

My Champion

One of the best moments from this week's Game of Thrones episode was when Prince Oberyn volunteers to be Tyrion's Champion in a fight against The Mountain (Gregor Clegane).  If you recall, its The Mountain that slaughtered his sister and her children during Robert's Rebellion. Vengeance is that powerful, that Oberyn who despises the Lannisters is willing to go up against a beast, and fight on Tyrion's behalf...maybe it was the sad story he told of how he first met little Tyrion as a baby that also inspired him to fight. Whatever his motives, and there are motives, I'm happy that he's the one fighting for Tyrion. And I hope he accomplishes what he has set out to do.

Now I have to say, I've been a fan of Prince Oberyn since the season started, and this just solidified it. He is one sexy, sexy man!!! I hope he knows what he's doing and can come out a victor in all this. Something tells me, he will :)

Trial By Fire: Game of Thrones

Last night's episode seriously needed to be longer. It went by way to fast, and it was so good. First, let me start off by stating how much I've missed my favorite Imp! Tyrion has been locked away, for a crime he didn't commit, and awaiting trial. Well, said trial has begun, and he is PISSED!!! It was so gratifying watching his anger build and build, then.....rage!!! As he shouts in front of everyone..., “I wish I was the monster you all think I am,” followed by him admission that though he did not kill Joffrey, he wished he had been the one to do so and eludes to fact that he'd gladly trade his life to to see each lord and lady poisoned as well.

And Shae, to betray Tyrion like that, with that false testimony, made me so angry. So who put her up to that and why? What will she get out of it, given that Tyrion made sure she would be safe. Why come back, or did she ever leave?

After learning last week that Littlefinger has been behind just about every major event since the beginning, equally Varys is playing his game of chess. Those two are always behind every move, plotting and planting seeds with whoever they come into contact with. I guess we just have to wait and see what their ultimate motive will be.

Back to the trial, Grand Maester Pycelle, also spits out his lies against Tyrion. And he shows the necklace that Sansa was wearing which held the poison that ultimately killed Joffrey. However, last time we saw that necklace, Littlefinger was on his boat showing Sansa what was in the necklace. So how did Pycelle get the necklace, or how many poisoned necklaces are there?

Even though the trial was the focal point of last nights episode, I need to address the sadistic (which is an understatement) Ramsey Snow. First off, shirtless and bloody, he looked kinda hot (my opinion), then bathing Reek (formally Theon Greyjoy) as reward for his loyalty....hmmmm.....Lastly, Ramsey asks Reek to pretend he's someone else in order to help him out...and who does he want Reek to pretend to be, none other than Theon Greyjoy. I'm curious to see how this is going to play out. One thing is for sure, Ramsay is the master of control and manipulation.

What a Wicked Littlefinger

Game of Thrones, is in fact a game of chess. If you recall back in Season 3, Petyr Baelish says, "chaos isn't a pit, it's a ladder. It's every man (or woman) for himself or herself, and you're either a player or a pawn." On last nights episode,in a somewhat intimate (and kind of gross) moment between Lysa Arryn and Littlefinger, it was revealed that it was in fact Lysa that poisoned her husband Jon Arryn. We only got a brief glimpse of Jon Arryn, who was hand of the King to Robert Baratheon,in the first episode of the series. Lysa went on to say, that she did as she was told, giving her husband the drops of poison and sending the letter to Catelyn, thereby blaming the the Lannisters for his death. All on the command of Littlefinger.

So if we look back on Lord Baelish, former Master of Coin, and beloved brothel owner, he was ultimately responsible for the events that led to Ned Stark's untimely death, the war that ensued thereafter, and finally King Joffrey's death (maybe his only redeemable ploy).

Being behind almost every major move, since the beginning, what is his angle with Lysa. Even he looked a little repulsed by her, yet he agrees to marriage. Does Lysa's refusal to join the war efforts have anything to do with his decision? With the Vale comes gold and men, a full army. So what will be his next move?

Game Of Thrones Season 4 Episode 5: First Of His Name

A new episode of Game of Thrones debuts tonight on HBO. Last week’s episode had set a new ratings best for the series and got fans talking with a scene that revealed that fate of all those unwanted sons that Crater had been giving to the White Walkers. Will we see more this week, or is that a thread that will be left for later?

The Chains That Bind

The chains that bind us are not always the physical ones, but they can be the emotional ones or the psychological ones. I think last nights episode of Game of Thrones was about just that....the chains that bind us.

I haven't spoken yet about Khalessi, the Mother of Dragons. Her mission, to free the slaves of Meereen, lies not in a bloody battle, but in her message, her inspiration, and her strength as a leader. As Grey Worm is leading a group through the sewers of Meereen he comes across a group of slaves. Clearly there are mixed feelings whether or not  to take part in an uprising. Grey Worm addresses the group with this,  “No one can give you freedom, if you want it, you must take it." The chains that bind them as slaves, suddenly lifts, and they find themselves taking back their lives from the Masters.

After getting slapped in the face with his own hand, by none other than Bronn, he reminds Jaime that he should go see his brother. Its the one thing that Jaime has been putting off, but finally does the right thing. Jaime leaves Tyrion believing his brother is in fact innocent in the murder of King Joffrey. This of course sets off the unstable Cersei, who is no doubt out for utter revenge. Its evident that she wants Tyrion's head but she won't stop until she has Sansa's as well. With Cersei's cold and calculating behavior, Good Jaime (last week he was Bad Jaime), decides the best thing he can do is to send his friend, Brienne off to find Sansa, and protect her. Maybe Jaime is finally breaking the emotional chains he has with his sister, once and for all. Jaime sends her off with new armor and his new Valyrian steel sword (admirably named Oathkeeper), oh, and sweet Podrick too. With everything going on in King's Landing the best thing Jaime could do is protect Brienne and Podrick, by sending them away.

In case you hadn't figured it out beforehand, it was Lady Oleanna who was responsible for King Joffrey's death. She confides in Margaery of her wicked doings, whispering to her, “You don’ think I’d let you marry that beast?” Lady Olenna would not stand for her precious granddaughter to be bound by the merciless vile chains Joffrey would have bestowed upon her.

Sex, Orgies & Littlefinger

After last week's shocking episode of the Purple Wedding, and the end of the Vile King Joffrey's reign..viewers expected this week's episode to be more anticlimactic, thereby setting the stage for the eruption that is sure to follow his untimely death. As the show begins, you see what one might think is a tender moment between Cercei, her dead son, and his real father Jaime (Who is also his uncle). well - that thought didn't play out as I expected. Instead Jaime forcefully decides to have his way with his twin sister, in front of their dead son, the King. Now, you know its bad, when even Cersei repeatedly yells out it isn't right. Now, as much as I've grown to actually like Jaime, that was soooooo WRONG. Can Jaime truly redeem himself? I'm not sure given that quite disturbing scene.

In keeping with the theme of sex, Prince Oberyn is my new favorite character. All is fair in sex and sex. He'll take it any way he can, and he fully embraces his desire for all beings. There were plenty in that bed of his last night. However, it'll be quite interesting to see how his role plays out (not so much in the bedroom), but at the trial of Tryion and landing a coveted spot on the small council of King's Landing.

And finally Littlefinger shows his face. We knew it was only a matter of time before he crept up. And creep he did, popping up like a jack-in-the-box when Sansa boarded the ship. As you recall he's been missing since the middle of season 3, but that doesn't mean that he hasn't been lurking and plotting behind the scenes, as we saw last night. And in case you forgot, back in season 2 he had a very important conversation with Margaery Tyrell. I'll leave you with that....
