'True Blood' heading for Broadway?

Who isn't addicted to HBO's 'True Blood' Come one raise your hands? So no one. Raise your hands if you don't want to see the show to end? Ahhh that's better. Now for the hard one. Who wants to see 'True Blood' on Broadway? Just as I thought I see those looks. In fact I have the same look on my face right now.

It seems that Nathan Barr the show's composer has pitched the idea of 'True Blood the Musical' to creator Alan Ball and wanting to get back to the show's roots.

I mean yes I would love to have more Alcide, Eric and yes even Bill, and of course Sookie, but can you imagine the show on Broadway without the faces we have all come to love and see every Sunday night?

I am all for the show must go on, but I think maybe, just maybe this is an "all good things must come to an end" kind of ending.

Harry Potter and Wolverine on stage! Daniel Radcliffe and Hugh Jackman set to woo crowds in new Broadway productions

Both Harry Potter and Wolverine are set to create Broadway magic in the near future.


Daniel Radcliffe will star in black comedy The Cripple of Inishmaan in London, whilst Hugh Jackman will take centrestage in drama/mystery production, The River.

I don't know how he has does it! The Broadway bound Daniel Radcliffe is set to film Brooklyn Bridge directly after the West End transfer of The Cripple of Inishmaan ends its limited engagement on July 20, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

File this under best news ever: Walt Disney CEO and Chairman Bob Iger knows the entire world has (rightfully!) fallen in love with the studio's Golden Globe-winning feature Frozen, so what does he want to do next? Take it to Broadway, of course! According to Fortune magazine, the hit animated film will follow in the huge footprints of The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid and Aladdin, and head on over to the Great White Way. Disney Theatrical Productions also confirmed that Frozen is in early development for the stage.

Robert Downey Jr. & More Study Shakespeare with Romeo and Juliet's Orlando Bloom

Iron Man and Legolas came together in New York City when Oscar nominee Robert Downey Jr. headed to the Great White Way on September 3 to check out Orlando Bloom in the new contemporary revival of Romeo and Juliet. Downey brought along two of his stage vet co-stars in the forthcoming movie drama The Judge, Vincent D'Onofrio (off-Broadway's Clive) and Jeremy Strong (off-Broadway's The Great God Pan). Afterwards, the gents went backstage for a meet-and-greet with Romeo himself, Orlando Bloom. Romeo and Juliet's Orlando Bloom & Condola Rashad Show Off Their Red-Hot Chemistry in Times Square

Rehearsals have begun for the upcoming contemporary revival of Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare's tragic tale of the world's most famous star-crossed lovers. International film star Orlando Bloom and two-time Tony nominee Condola Rashad star as the titular lovers in the sure-to-be gorgeous production, which will be directed by five-time Tony nominee David Leveaux. Before previews begin on August 24, Broadway.com photographer Jenny Anderson stopped by Broadway's Richard Rodgers Theatre where Bloom, Rashad and Leveaux unveiled the marquee, tagged "Juliet's Wall" and showed off Romeo's motorcycle.
